Luxury room with exclusive use of the main bathroom inc full bath, shower and washer/dryer. Ducted aircon, ceiling fan, desk and chair, 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, Egyptian cotton towels, bar fridge with ice box, tea and coffee making facilities and smart TV with Netflix etc. The room also opens on to the terrace and has its own lounge area - perfect for those balmy Brisbane nights. There is secure under building parking, if required. NOTE there is a second bedroom also avaliable - see seperate listing of you'd like two rooms.
The apartment feels like an inner city oasis and has an edgy London/New York feel with great views over the surrounding suburbs of Petrie Terrace, Paddington and the Suncorp Stadium. There is a fantastic atmosphere when there is an event on at the stadium, and it's great to kick back on the deck with a beer or wine and soak it all in!
For a city apartment, we have a large outdoor deck (100 sqm) which is great for pottering around on or relaxing with a wine and enjoying the views.
Please note that whilst we are close to the rail line, the trains are speed limited here so the noise isn't too noticeable - other than when an occasional freight train goes through! The rooms are also very well sound insulated.
There is also easy access from our apartment to the communal BBQ level and roof-top pool - both of which have great views. It is not a huge pool but its a great spot to catch some rays and cool off with a dip.
The building itself is in an up and coming area within easy walking distance to many of Brisbane's major attractions.
Cereal, bread/toast, honey, peanut butter, jam, marmalade, Vegemite and eggs (for boiling or poaching) are available for breakfast - guests can help themselves to this and also to tea, coffee, milk, juice, cordial and water.
Guests have exclusive access to their room, their outdoor lounge area and the main bathroom (owners may have to use the washing machine occasionally though).
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen (within reason), living/dining area and the main outdoor terrace area as well.
Guests also have access to the communal (shared) BBQ deck (with great city & river views) and the pool deck.
We both work Mon-Fri so generally there isn't anyone about during week days, but we are usually around at weekends.
We are sociable and enjoy a beer or glass of wine with guests on the deck. Happy to interact as much or little as guests like though.
The guest room has a smart TV, bar fridge,tea and coffee making facilities and it's own sitting area so if you want some quiet time to yourself you have the space to do so!
We are friendly and respectful male couple (one British, one Torres Strait Islander). Whilst same day requests are usually accepted, this will depend on individual circumstances and flexibility may required around check in time.
Just be friendly and respectful and we'll all get on fine!

We are an easy going couple. I (David) am from the UK originally and Brett is from the Torres Strait Islands so we have a very unique cultural mix!
I enjoy reading, travel, movies, beach life and eating Brett's awesome cooking! We are sociable and enjoy a drink on the deck with friends as the sun sets over the mountains.
Happy to engage as much or as little as guests choose. Whilst there is a TV/DVD in your room and your own outdoor sitting area, you are of course welcome to join us in the main lounge or on the main deck - where we spend most of our time!
