For best results, please ask me about availability before you book. Just 3 blocks from the dynamic Pacific ocean and 37 miles from Volcanoes NP, experience Puna life in funky Pahoa Town and explore the nearby Champaign Ponds.
Just 3 blocks from the ocean and 37 miles from Volcanoes NP, life has slowed down here and we would love to share our stress-free home at an affordable cost with no extra cleaning fee
This is a very modern home, clean and simple. Stained concrete floors, granite counters, new stainless appliances. Newer comfy medium firm queen mattress. We are green with solar hot water and LED lighting. Covered off-street parking. We have 6 sweet hens who entertain us and will soon give us fresh eggs.
You will have your own private bedroom with a 32 inch LCDTV, WiFi, land-line phone. We will share the bathroom and kitchen. You can use our PC and printer, and borrow a pair of boogey boards for the beach.
We would love to talk story and make new friends!
Even though it is very laid back around here, we are surrounded by so much ENERGY IN NATURE! The pounding surf, the exciting lava flow, the dynamic clouds above. Great place for walks to the ocean cliffs (sorry, no sandy beach).
Our neighborhood has paved roads, and the highways are excellent. Traffic is the usual congestion during rush. We are a 35 minute drive to Hilo Airport and 60 minutes to Volcanoes NP or Akaka Falls. 20 minutes to Pohoiki Bay, great snorkeling, and 10 minutes to dining in Pahoa. We make Kona Costco in about 2 hours.
We want to provide a low-cost alternative to the mediocre hotels in Hilo, and the expensive vacation rentals around here.
Your bedroom has one queen bed, so singles or couples only. Your well-behaved pet family member is welcome, and we can't have smoking on the property.

My wife and I are enjoying a long sabbatical, exploring the Big Island and taking it easy. We plan to return to our permanent home in Spokane, WA later in 2015. Our kids and grandkids live in the NW, and so we must return eventually. I love the outdoors and epic hikes - Glacier NP is my favorite place on earth!
