9 years ago my husband and I bought a holiday cottage in this wonderful little village in Southern Spain and started visiting as often as we could. We soon felll in love with the place and made a lot of friends. After 2 years, we decided we loved the place so much that we packed in our secure jobs in the UK, sold our home and mocved over here permanently. We bought a villa (Casa Elanor) and started a small holiday rentals company- our thinking being- if we loved the area so much, maybe other people would too!! I think we have been proved right and now have 4 properties which we own or totally manage ourselves and act as agents for 10-12 more properties which are second homes belonging to locals of Ardales or Carrataca which they wish to rent out.
We have recently become agents for Helle Hollis car rental agency as we have had so many guests having awful experiences with car rentals(- some spending longer in a queue to pick up their car, than they spent in the plane!!) that we decided to research the car companies with a view to recommending the best one to our guests. We were most impressed with Helle Hollis and instead of taking a commission from them, we can offer our guests an extra 15% discount off their car rentals
