Enjoy your Berlin trip in our central and charming apartment. The spacious private room hosts up to four guests and has private bath and shared kitchen. Public transport access is great, bars are around the corner and the Ku'damm in walking distance.
The available room is part of a large (130m2) apartment in the fourth floor (no elevator!) of an old and (inside) nicely renovated house. The room itself has 24m2 and offers a 1.40m-bed and a comfortable sleeping-sofa for one or two (1.30m). So, staying with four persons is perfectly ok for a family, but might be uncomfortable with four large adults. Furthermore, it depends on how many people are staying at the same time in the apartment (i.e. we, private guests) whether we accept requests from more than two guests. Please take these into account when booking - this is the reason why we have moderate fees for extra guests.
Furthermore, we usually cannot accept bookings for more than 10 days, since we need a flexible availability of the room.
There is also a sitting area and enough space for luggage etc.
Guests have their private bathroom and can use our kitchen. The part of the apartment where the kids have their rooms is not to be accessed by the guests, as well as our private room.
We are a young family who loves to have guests from all around the world. During the week, we have our regular jobs/school. Over the weekend, we are partially at home, but also visiting friends, travelling or just enjoying ourselves. So, you may have the apartment on your own from time to time, but also meet us regularly. If you wish, we could share a drink or a dinner together - but you can also stay completely on your own if you prefer. We are always happy to give any trip advise and offer travel guides and maps.
We have two kids (10 and five) and thus staying with kids might especially be a pleasure for you. However, the apartment is large and the kids are used to having guests around, so also for guests without kids the place is ideal.
Smoking is only allowed on the balcony. Pets are unfortunately not allowed. Any disturbing noise (which of course does not mean usual chatting etc.!) is inconvenient after 9pm - but we are convinced that our guests behave in a friendly, sensible and thoughtful manner - just as we do.
Hi! I am Katharina from Berlin. I am working in academia, as a political scientist. I love to travel and to meet new people - but also to relax and calm down in quiet moments.
