Nestled under the Preseli Hills, surrounded by wild common land and footpaths, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park, Banc yr Eithin Cottage is a restored longbarn constructed of the bluestone granite that the Preselis are so famous for.
The cottage has acres of wildlife gardens, ponds and copses to explore. In the spring the grounds are awash with wild snowdrops and daffodils, in the summer meadow blooms and shady nooks, in autumn the fiery colours of turning trees, sloes and apples to pick. Silence and clear night skies, you can lie in bed and stargaze through the skylight. A little corner of paradise.
Banc yr Eithin cottage is the ideal romantic getaway for a couple or a joy of peaceful comfort for anyone looking for some relaxation. The cottage consists of a kitchen/dining room with a mezzanine bedroom complete with double bed, handmade quilt and stargazing skylight. Under the bedroom is the ‘cwtch’, a cosy sitting room with log burner, tv, and dvd player. The large airy bathroom has underfloor heating, bath, separate shower, sink and wc. The cottage is next to the owners’ house so any problems or questions we are on hand to sort straight away. There is ample parking, acres of grounds to explore, watch wildlife or just relax.

We live next door to the cottage so will be on hand to give a hand, enthuse about the locality and sort any problems out. If you want quiet privacy then you’ll have it. If you want a chat, a tour of the garden, a guided walk through the stone age forts of the Presilis, or to join Dave for a bit of kite buggying on the beach then we’re here to help and enjoy the company.
We have our own spring water, filtered and UV sterilised, no chemicals involved. The hot water is by Solar panel or via our wood-burning Rayburn, heating also via wood burner (all wood sourced locally). An array of PV solar panels generate electricity. The drainage is via a soakaway and reed beds so no waste enters any mains drains. Food waste can be composted, Pembrokeshire county council recycling scheme is used for recyclable waste.
We don't allow pets or smoking indoors

We moved from Cardiff to this beautiful part of the world in the Summer of 2014.
Having holidayed in West Wales most of my life I knew I always wanted to be here. My partner Dave grew up not far away and spent time as a child flying model airplanes off the hills here. Dave works as a construction carpenter building green oak and larch frame buildings locally. He starts with felling the trees and takes the process all the way to finished building. I was a professional gardener and now just do it for fun. I also work as an artist and writer and take inspiration from our local landscape.
