Enjoy the best of two worlds - stay in your own lovely cottage with sea view on an archipelago island, with only 20-30 min to Stockholm city center. Everyone loves our wonderful specious and well equipped guesthouse as well as the surroundings.
The possibility to combine exploring the Stockholm city live with a tranquil Stockholm archipelago experience is truly unique about Tranholmen. If you are a bit adventurous you will love it!
As our guest you will have your own small 30 sqm cottage (our guesthouse) with all you need for a short stay. There is a bathroom with shower, refrigerator and freezer, and a small stove with oven. Outside you have your own garden table and two lounge chairs, overlooking the sea. If you have children they are welcome to play in our large garden. You can borrow a BBQ from us.
The guest house has one queen size bed (140 cm) and one single bed (80 cm). If you are more than 3 adults you need to also book the additional small 10 sqm cottage (so called "friggebod") that you see on pictures 10-13. The "friggebod" has a 140 cm queen size bed, but does not have a bathroom or kitchen, so you will need to use the guest house for that. The houses are located about 30 meters apart. To also book the "friggebod" simply book for the total number of guests you will be (4 or 5).
You need to bring your own food as there is no store on the island. When coming from Stockholm city center there are good food stores right by the metro stations in T-Centralen, Östermalmstorg and Karlaplan, where it is easy to shop before heading home to Tranholmen.
Bed sheets and towels are included.
Some Friday evenings a master chef living on Tranholmen opens his home as a restaurant. Search for "davidathome".
Some Friday evenings during the summer season there is a community pub in Logen (an old barn), and in the summer Logen is open one hour in the afternoon selling ice creams.
You can borrow tennis rackets if you wish to use the tennis court, and you are welcome to borrow our key if you wish to use the community sauna.
Greet people you meet on the island.
People are very helpful so just ask anyone if there is something you wonder about.
Smoking and pets are not allowed in the cottages.
