The Lake House is a clean, spacious and private 4-bedroom classic cottage with outstanding views of the lake, hills and beautiful sunrises. Its rustic charm, knotty pine and wood stove fireplaces immediately make you feel at home.
HIGHLIGHTS
In the summer our property offers stand up paddle boards, pedal boat, canoe, lily pad, noodles, rafts, sand toys, outdoor trampoline, swimming off the dock and shallow entry lake, hammock, screened-in porch and lit outdoor patio.
In the winter you can enjoy tobogganing, snow shoeing, walking and cross-country skiing the groomed lake tracks.
Enjoy the fire, play a board game, make arts and crafts, play ping-pong, foosball, read a book or watch TV/Netflix/DVDs, play the piano and guitar in any season.
Parking for 4 vehicles.
COVID friendly: safe, tidy, cleaned and sanitized.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE
Please be mindful when booking. Our tap water comes from the lake and isn't drinkable. A water dispenser is available for you provided with at least 8 total gallons of drinking water for your stay. We are on septic and ask that you limit waste disposal to toilet paper only.
When snow is on the ground, an all-wheel drive vehicle and winter tires are REQUIRED as the home is located beyond a steep, icy hill.
No pets, no parties, no smoking indoors allowed.
We welcome families and friends who are looking to escape the city and enjoy some quality time together. This cottage is not suitable for parties.
BEDROOMS, LINENS and BATHROOMS
Fresh and clean linens are provided for your stay (sheets, duvets, duvet covers, pillows and pillow cases)
We offer shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toiletries, blow dryer and necessary linens.
Main floor - Offers 3 comfortable bedrooms with closets, ceiling fans, a full bathroom (shower and tub) and washer and dryer.
Walkout basement - Offers 1 large bedroom with 2 beds and a dresser. The bathroom features a corner shower. A playpen is available.
KITCHEN
The full-size kitchen and eating bar includes everything you'll need for cooking and food preparation. You can expect the basics and then some: dishes, cutlery, cooking and bbq utensils, aluminum foil, saran wrap, Tupperware, kitchen towels, cooking oil, salt and pepper, spices, espresso, coffee, coffee filters, bbq, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, blender, slow cooker, fondue, raclette, stove + ovens, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and tablets. Cleaning supplies and disinfectants are provided. Basically - just bring your food and drinks!
SOLARIUM
The solariums dining table comfortably accommodates seating for 10 adults and offers a heated floor for those cool fall or winter days. Additional dedicated heating and cooling is available in this space. Two high chairs are available.
BBQ
6-burner stainless steel propane BBQ available. Propane is provided with your stay.
SCREENED-IN PORCH
The screened-in porch offers dining as well as an additional place to lounge while avoiding the bugs but catching the morning or evening breeze.
LIVING ROOMS
The main floor living space offers a 47" TV with Bell satellite, a selection of board games and cards, piano, blankets, plenty of comfortable seating and a wood burning fireplace.
The walkout basement features a DVD projector (with HDMI port), 92" screen, 100s of movies, wood burning fireplace, ping-pong table, foosball, board games, arts and crafts and children's toys.
FIRE
The outdoor fire pits can be used in all seasons. Please be cautious and put the fire out with water before going to bed. Before making a fire, check to see if there any fire bans or restrictions (you can go to SOPFEU's website).
WOOD STOVES
The main floor has a wood burning fireplace and the basement comes equipped with a wood burning fire stove. Please read the HOW TO guide prior to using. Using a wood stove requires attention to detail. The stoves are supplemental heat on top of our heating system. Using this improperly may result in a fire.
The LAKE and DOCK
Our lake is quiet, fresh and very clean. It's a sand bottom lake that offers hot and cold springs. Off the dock is quite deep, please keep an eye on your children. There is a lily pad, canoe, paddle boards, pedal boat and life jackets available to you during your stay - motorized boats are NOT permitted on our lake. This lake is fantastic for swimming, floating and chasing frogs. Enjoy the views from the hammock, covered patio or swing bed. Keep an eye out for the visiting turtles, loons and otters!
GYM / YOGA STUDIO
A few steps away beside the cottage, you'll have access to the gym / yoga studio. It includes a climbing wall, mini trampoline, medicine balls, yoga mats and more! Note that the gym isn't heated, so it's quite cold in the winter.
