A comfy self contained flat, nestled away in a lush garden below the main house. Awake to the sound of birdsong and hear the Ruru (Morepork owl) calling at night. Walking distance to the historic village of Russell
A comfortable place to call home, nestled in the quiet neighbourhood of Matauwhi Bay, approximately 10 minutes walk on the flat into the historic village of Russell. Out of the bustle of the main centre, you are close to town, opposite the Russell Boat Club and have a place to call home.
The flat is fully self contained with a fully functional kitchen, spacious bathroom and laundry tub. TV, books and card games are available if you wish to relax and chill out. A separate pathway leads up to the flat; off street parking is available in the driveway below.
We live upstairs so are on hand.
We have two cats who will no doubt visit any guests
This is a residential neighbourhood, in a peaceful part of town. We expect guests to be considerate of their surroundings and respect others. Smoking only allowed outside. No pets.
Born in England, with a kiwi father and English mother, I moved over here permanently to live in 1990. My working career was in ICT and telecommunications but my husband Geoff and I decided to head to Russell in the Bay of Islands for a more relaxed lifestyle. I now run a tall ship, am on a couple of boards, a volunteer ambulance officer and busier now than I ever was in my full time career! Geoff has also just retired from an IT career and and is kept very busy with lots of projects including a 52ft boat that he is building in our back garden. He is a volunteer firefighter so occasionally we end up on jobs together. We have two cats which we spoil dreadfully!
