We picked this place because it seemed to match our needs. The price was very fair for a 1 bedroom flat and while we knew it wouldn't be the most luxurious place we could stay at we knew it would be a better price for us to choose.
Before we arrived we had a somewhat rough time getting in touch with Daniel. We had called and sent messages through Airbnb but didn't get through to him until we only had a few days left before arrival.
When we arrived we had a smooth handover of keys as our family was there to pick them up.
The location was comfortable to get to and quiet which suited our needs.
When we arrived the apartment was tidy and clear of most clutter.
The place matched the description however we were very disappointed at 4 things.
1) The place smelled very badly of dog, the couches, bed and the floors smelled so strongly that we had trouble sleeping. This probably goes unnoticed by people who live with a dog but even as dog-lovers this was just too much.
2) The place was tidy but it was not clean when we arrived, having to clean the floor on the first and second days was a huge disappointment. It did help with some of the smell but we spent a whole bottle of Febreze trying to make it more welcoming. This helped somewhat.
3) The shower (which we guess is the reason for the low price) was essentially a wetroom. The shower bracket/holder was rusted and broken so we had to hold the showerhead up to clean ourselves. The base of the shower was stained and unattractive. The window in the bathroom was broken so we felt the draft on a particularly stormy and cold few days.
4) Because of the way that the bedroom is configured there's no real chance for comfortable darkness when sleeping, we woke up every day around 7 from the morning light. The shutters didn't block the sunlight and there was no curtain available.
The smell was overwhelming and any other complaints are minor and solvable.
I would not be eager to stay there again but I would say that it is worth considering this apartment for your visit if you take into consideration our gripes.
I expect that the host will make some changes before their next guest arrives so with that taken into consideration this may be right for you.
