I make my own hours and travel a little for work. I can easily be reached if you need anything. I am usually catching up on errands, or trying to stay out of trouble haha. Just a text or phone call away! We can have a drink together if you want, or not interact at all :) I work late, so I do not mind people who want to stay up late and let loose (owls welcome), just be considerate when outside, as this is a neighborhood and not Bourbon St. There is a list of our favorite spots to eat, drink, visit, and even us locals still do tours! Towels provided! Bring your own toiletries, although some are available. Enjoy!
We love hosting international travelers! Check in is at 3:00pm or later , check out is 11:00am or earlier. Please keep this in mind when booking flights. You may not re-enter after check out, luggage can be kept on porch or back yard for later flights (not responsible for luggage)!
Please remember to tip your bartenders and waiters, it is how they make a living in the states. 15 to 20 % is customary, or at least a dollar or two per beverage at a bar.
Use the hot tub at your own risk, especially when drinking alcohol. A list of instructions for hot tub/Jacuzzi is posted inside. A list of restaurants, bars, attractions are available at the house as well. Kitchen has most cookware and utensils. Washer and dryer available. Lock doors/windows when leaving. This is an entire home, the cleaning fee does go to a professional cleaning service. *Does not include washing dishes, please wash your own dishes* Security deposit IS ONLY charged if something is damaged or removed from the house that belongs there. Always lock up bikes and store inside when I'm Airbnb. $150 for lost or stolen bikes will be charged and/or $15 for bike locks.
There are outside (feral/stray) cats that wonder the neighborhood...they do not love people and will never go inside, and please do not entice them to go inside. They do however appreciate a meal. Feel free to fill up a bowl or 2 for them outside with food provided, or any you can spare. (Do not leave food out at night or the neighborhood possum will eat it all up). The ferals have all been spayed and neutered by the SPCA and serve as natural pest control for communities. They are abundant in New Orleans because of our warm weather that allows them to thrive, and unfortunately the rate of abandonment by owners.
Friendly advice from myself (a local) to stay safe while in the Crescent City. I have enjoyed many wonderful years here! Hydrate (drinks are strong here), use a buddy system (my lady guests you will get flirted with while out and about). Uber/Lyft/Cab around city at night unless walking in populated areas, such as Bourbon st, Frenchmen St, etc. Just remember you are in a city that loves to party underneath all the abundance of history and culture :)
WELCOME TO NOLA!~~
• Check-in time is 3:00PM, Check out time is at 11:00AM. No early check in or late check out, unless we have no one checking in the same day. Please ask ahead of time and we will let you know. You may leave your luggage on the front porch or back yard/shed if you are comfortable (many guests do). There are security cameras outside, but we are not responsible for your bags.
There is not a lobby here to wait, this is a private home. Keep this in mind when booking your flights. The house keeper will come in at check out, and no re-entry. Imagine someone going in before your arrival and making it dirty again, not acceptable.
Night owls are welcome, however we are not in the French Quarter and must be respectful of neighbors. Smoking outside is allowed and disposed properly in ashtray....including 420 (outside only, use ashtray)! It is preferred all guests be 21 years old with one guest being 25 years old, BUT this can be waived if you have good reviews, or speak with host first about your traveling group (unless of course children with parents). : )
Use hot tub with caution and at your own risk, especially when drinking alcohol. Bikes must be returned to the area they are stored (inside) and locked to a secure spot when used.
Wash your own dishes, take out your trash and recycling (we do not recycle glass in New Orleans), and please start a load of towels before you leave. Sorry no pets.
4 guests allowed. 5th is possible for extra fee of $20 per night. All guests must be on the reservation. If non paying guests come for a visit, inform them of the rules too. Keep parties in the French Quarter : ) Having one or two friends over for dinner, hot tub, hanging out, etc. is fine, but sneaking in guests to sleep over, who are not on your reservation is not OK.
Charges will apply to those who cause more work for house cleaning service exceeding turnover for next guests, damage or theft to Airbnb, and/or loss of bikes ($150 bike, $15 for lock). So treat it like home. Thankfully all our guests have been amazing, and we have never had a problem. Now have fun, get drunk, sit on the porch, use the hot tub! ENJOY! LAISSEZ LESS BON TEMPS ROULEZ! :)
I'm self employed and love the outdoors. I own a couple rental properties in the area. The food, history, and culture of this city are like no where else in this country, so filling! This was my first home I had purchased as a single gal, (before meeting my fiancé Jonathan... so happy you will get to experience it! I travel a lot myself through Airbnb, USA and international, it really does connect the world! Bienvenue a La Nouvelle Orleans!!!
