I fell in love with the East Village when I used to visit New York for work. There was no other place I wanted to live in, and almost 5 years later, I still feel the same. It's constantly buzzing with new restaurants and bars! Never boring...
Amazing little studio apartment, big kitchen, gorgeous living space, very well lit...
Perfect for a single, a couple (Queen sized bed), or even one more guest on a sofa bed.
I tend to keep a cupboard locked up, but everything is pretty much accessible.
As renting out my apartment usually means I am away from the city, I will leave my spare keys with a close friend who can let you in if needed.
Otherwise I'm always available on the phone (please try to have What's App for texting internationally as my US phone is VERY temperamental when it comes to International anything...) if anything is needed!
I think it's important to let you know I live in this apartment, but my job and family being in Europe, requires me to travel every so often which is why I've listed it on AirBnB.
I take great care of the place, obviously being my home, and I really look for very considerate people to rent it out.
I have a very strict NO CRUMBS - this is New York City, and unfortunately we are never very far from rodents and cockroaches (NOT in my apartment though!! Ever!!)... It is vital to never leave any food out in the open in the apartment, and clean up right after yourselves when cooking or eating inside.
Always lock the door when leaving and staying in the apartment;
Be very gentle with the shower, toilet and general plumbing, this is an old building.
I manage a design company in London & New York specialized in alcohol packaging. We've recently opened an office in Manhattan so I moved over but will still be going back and forth.
I've used AirBnB before moving here permanently to get accustomed to the different areas and get to know new people. I had a great experience, so thought I would use my apartment to do the same with visitors!
