The Buckstone House Coach House is beautifully furnished and provides spacious accommodation for four in two double rooms, each with its own bathroom. Set in the owners lovely garden in The Forest of Dean, it is an easy walk to the village pub. An ideal place from which to explore The Wye Valley, The Forest of Dean, Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye; enjoy the swimming pool in the summer months; play tennis on the hard court - or relax, chill and do very little!
The living room is on the first floor to take advantage of the lovely views down across the garden in one direction and over open fields to the south in the other. For those requiring assistance a stair lift is provided.
The living room is large and airy, with exposed beams and ample comfortable seating. Although there is central heating throughout the house, a gas fired “wood-burner” stove in the living room makes the room particularly welcoming on colder evenings after a day in the countryside. For your entertainment, there is a wide screen television, DVD player and hi-fi system, which has the ability to accept input from an iPod etc. The round dining table seats four to six guests.
Also on the first floor is the spacious master double bedroom, with a king-sized bed. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with a bath and a shower over the bath.
The owner’s carefully tended garden has a tennis court and outdoor swimming pool (which is heated and in use from about the end of May to early September) and, by arrangement with the Smiths, these facilities can be used. Table and chairs are available for al fresco dining and barbequing.
We live across the garden and are usually on hand to help our guests get the best out of their time here
Washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, hob, oven, toaster, wide screen TV with Sky freeview, DAB digital radio and CD system, hair dryer, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Each bedroom has ample hanging and storage space. The Coach House has its own wireless internet connection. There is secure storage of bicycles and facilities for drying clothes and boots.
The price of your stay includes electricity, heating, bed linen, and bath towels but if you intend to use the swimming pool, please bring your own swimming towels.
We accept children but parents should be aware that the two bedrooms are both double bedded and on different floors; we make no claims that the swimming pool is "child-proof".
We are sorry, but we do not accept pets and there is a no smoking policy in The Coach House.
