Hookachinook is totally remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bath Mobile home. There are two tvs one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. In the kitchen there is a small dining set with four chairs . In the summer there is a picnic table out on the deck and a small gas grill and charcoal grill. We don't provide gas so you may have to fill it.
Dirt roads for the kids to ride bikes on. Bring your boat, boat slips for rent at the end of road, which leads to Sandy Pond and Lake Ontario.
You defiantly need a car. It is nice to have a boat to get to the boaters beach. But there are plenty of state parks in the area you can drive to with beaches that are nice.
If you have your own boat you can rent a boat slip at Reiter's marina on Sandy pond inlet road or rent a boat from Greenpoint marina 5 min drive. You must make your own arrangements ahead of time to reserve a rental boat or boat slip.
In the Summer Tom Is usually up at the lake Tuesday-Friday. You can reach us on our cell phones if we are at work we will call or text you back asap.
Hookachinook has a new well, we have a filter for drinking water in the kitchen. (sulfur). Well supply is 2 gallons per. minute. Make sure not to run laundry or dishes during high peek hours, ( such as after everyone took a shower) run dish washer and clothes washer on full loads only to conserve water. I have never run out of water. Make sure to leave time between heavy usage, If you have several people showering at the same time be conservative.
No smoking, and no corkers in the house. No pets that are not approved. Please take off shoes if it is very muddy outside. Recyclables, glass, plastic tin cans, and soda containers must be sorted in a bag separate from the garbage. Do not run laundry during peak hours, this gives the well time to recover. We have a leave it as you found it policy, wash sheets and towels upon departure, place garbage and recyclables out back in cans. Lock keys in house when you leave. Thank you!

My huband Tom and I spend most of our time working, at Frito-lay in Binghamton, NY. When we are not at work we enjoy going to Sandy Pond in the Summer to kayak and hang out at the Boaters beach, Fall to go fishing with the guys, Winter to go ice fishing, and my favorite X-country skiing. We decided to buy a cottage and fix it up, then we bought a MH and renovated that also. We are planning to move up north and rent them out in our retirement.
