That is my own flat. I don’t rent it for money but because I’d like to share the sweet & friendly way of life of my place!
**** AVAILABLE DURING SUMMER OR FOR SHORT STAYS ****
August / Sept 2015 : available from 23th august to 12th sept. (4 nights minimum)
Otherwise, the flat can be rented for short stay and/or a week-end.
In all cases, please send me an e-mail to check the availabilities.
The flat is located in the heart of the medieval area of Albertville (called "Cité de Conflans").
Rent it for a French typical “village” experience!
The area is a pedestrian zone. Only local people can drive on the square & around during the summer.
The neighbourhood is very friendly and you can eat typical dishes in Claire’s Restaurant, Le Conflarain, or drink a fresh beer after a hike or a ski day at Le Barrock.
All of them (3 restaurants, 1 pub and many small artists studios) are on the same square as my flat.
This place is at 8 minutes walk from the center of Albertville (in fact 5mn to go down but 8 mn to come up!)…
In Albertville center you’ll find 2 lovely food markets (on Thursday & Saturday morning) where you can buy fresh and local goods, some very good bakeries, 2 cinemas, 1 theatre, a lot of restaurants and some shopping streets.
Train station is at 20mn walking to the flat.
That is better if you have a car to reach every activities around but that is not absolutely necessary –you can find every conveniences by walk in less 20mn-.
The most important for me is you feel like in your home. You can read the magazines & books on the shelves, listen to your own music on the hi-fi system (Iphone compatible), connect internet with my private fast Wi-Fi, spread your personal effects and use the fully equipped kitchen as you want.
Tv on the picture presently doesn't work.
There is one very quiet bedroom for a couple and a couch in the living-room with twin mattress for 1 or 2 other people. I recommend this apartment for 2 persons or 3 but it’s possible to stay 4 (except if you want hot water for 4 consecutive showers!).
Clean towels & sheets (a full pack per week and per person) are provided.
There is a bathroom with a large shower and toilets are separate.
I have no private garden but there are plenty of beautiful public gardens around and it’s really easy to have a picnic in quiet places outside with table & seats (I’ve some secret places -like private places- I can share!)
Albertville and the neighborhoods are famous for cycling (you’ll find some famous Tour de France’s summits around!) but you can also do a lot of activities during your holidays…
Hike the mountains directly from my place, visit farms and discover how the locals do cheese (I have plenty of great address to buy local food to let you!), reach the biggest ski resorts of the French Alps in less than 1 hour driving (you must have the car except for Les Saisies or Arrêches Beaufort that you can reach by bus), go to visit Annecy or Olympic game museum of Albertville, enjoy the very good local food, try to prepare local dishes by yourself, etc.
The most famous events nearby are : L'étape du Tour de France (July), Musilac (Aix les Bains, July) Fête du Lac (Annecy 1st august), Medieval Party (15th august), Le Grand Bivouac (Octobre)...
Feel free to ask me for any helps to organize your stay in Albertville!
I rent the flat during my holidays and work-travelling so I probably won't welcome you (but a good friend will do that perfectly!). We can exchange as much as you want before your arrival. For details, advices, helps or whatever, feel free to write me e-mails.
For check-in and check-out times I’ll see individually. I know many neighbors ready to receive you at any time (or almost)!
So if you are looking for a comfortable environment with a unique atmosphere, an authentic way of life, some great food&wine experiences, contact me.
The only thing which is very important for me, it is that you respect the environment, the neighbourhood and all my stuff which I leave in the apartment by confidence with you.
I'm a 36 years old's frenchie who lives in a typical small village in the french Alps. I love skiing, cooking, hiking, organising diners with my friends and enjoy good company. I am both guest and host on airbnb and love the concept.
I try to travel as much as I can with my friends, my 2 brothers or alone...
Otherwise I'm discreet and respectful.
