Renovations continue off and on, but this spacious 155 year old farmhouse is ready for guests. It's 8mi. from Jay Peak in the heart of the village, with a bar/ restaurant and supermarket across the street but only the Trout River & forest out back.
We expect guests to leave the house much the way they found it; please clean up after yourself. If requested, we can arrange housekeeping services at additional cost. Pets are allowed but require additional deposit. Smoking is not permitted inside the house and any butts, etc not properly disposed of in outdoor trash will result in forfeiture of a portion of the security deposit. The kitchen is well stocked, and we'll leave milk, juice, and other staples for you to use. If you use up items other than the milk or juice, we ask that you let us know so that we can be prepared, as we always return to the house ourselves the weekend after each guest departs. Also, please let us know of any problems you encounter- we want to be proactive about fixing them, to make sure they don't get worse and to ensure you have a good experience.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
I'm an architect from Burlington, VT who loves travelling and the outdoors, especially skiing and hiking. I've visited a couple dozen countries, and so far my favorite places are Prague, Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, and the amazing state I've chosen to call home. I love that I can kayak on my lunch break, and I'm gearing up for my 11th marathon. In my downtime, I enjoy reading biographies, histories, and the occasional good mystery. I love everything Bill Bryson has written and enjoy the insightful novels of Chris Bohjalian. I have no idea what's on TV these days but enjoy watching the occasional Red Sox game.
