The house in which the apartment is located is one of the oldest in this area. It was built in 1874, so it is even older than the National Theatre, but also older than even the completion of the St. Vitus Cathedral. As all the other real estate owners, my grandfather too had to give his house away to the state, after the velvet revolution in 1992 however, it was given back to him. We try to preserve the old features of the building, for example, we restored the old stone paving in the house´s yard, but we reconstruct the house in such way, to accomodate the needs of people in the 21st century. Besides this moderately sized apartment, we will have a big (160 sq. meters) luxurious apartment with 5 rooms, that can comfortably accomodate up to 10 people (it is taken up until the spring break). We are also preparing an apartment with 2 rooms that will be furnished with 19th century-like furniture. Hopefully it will be finished before the Easter.
From February on, there will be a café in our house, where you can order a breakfast from 8 a.m., during later hours also a lunch and a supper, it will close at 10 p.m. An Italian company is also opening a gluten-free bakery with pastries and pizza. In the evening, you can enjoy a stylish basement-located wine shop, where Moravian wines and sausages are served. The wine shop too closes at 10 p.m.
The guests are free to use the apartment, all of its equipment, and furniture, and the building´s yard, as well as a free parking spot in front of the building.
Presumably not much, I suppose our guests will mostly want to enjoy the city´s sights, and each other´s company, but if needed or wanted, I can - depending on my lecture schedule - hang out with you, help you out, give you the directions and what not. But I guess I will be mostly available on my cell phone.
The cancellation policy is strict, not flexible.
We only accept 3+ night stays during the Christmas season, the New Year´s Eve and Easter.
We would like you to feel like home at out apartment, but at the same time, we would like to ask you not to smoke inside, and (aside from the New Year´s Eve), to keep the noise at a reasonable level from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I am a 23 year old student, a metalhead with an unhealthy affection for fantasy and sci-fi, aka "geek". I study psychology at the Charles´s University, so yeah, I know exactly what you´re thinking. (haha, no)
