Atop Crane Mountain in Townshend VT with beautiful views to the west of Stratton, Mount Snow, and Bromley. No close neighbors to speak of. Great in all seasons.
The house is isolated at the top of a mountain on a dirt road. All-wheel drive is a good option. If weather is fair, regular drive is fine. The driveway is plowed if there is 4 inches of snow. The town is responsible for the road up the hill. Our plower does the driveway.
During hunting season remember to dress appropriately.
We welcome you to try the woodstoves if you are comfortable to use them. Please follow our directions for use. The cookstove in the living room only has one place to start the fire, on the left side under the round burners. The space beneath the grates there are for the ashes to drop and for air to help with the draft to keep the flames of the fires burning. Once the fire is started, air should be reduced to this area.

No smoking in doors; no pets in doors (they should stay in the mudroom, the first room you enter before going into the main house. Take trash with you when you leave. There is no handy trash removal locally.
