We are a new developing low budget destination stay for runners, hikers, swimmers and cave explorers or anyone just wishing to just hang out, talk to the neighbor's chickens or relax and do nothing. We are located 30 kilometers (18 Miles) OUTSIDE Chiang Mai city, on the outskirts of Ob Khan National Park. You can either rent a motorbike, go on one of our tours or we can drop you off and pick you up for a small price to see any of the nearby attractions and sights.

ที่พัก

Hello and welcome to Boo's Adventurer's Paradise. Please read everything in the descriptions below, so there are no misunderstandings. We are located 30 kilometers (18 Miles) OUTSIDE Chiang mai city, in a small village next to Ob Khan National Park and have 3 beautiful bamboo huts for rent listed under "An Adventures Paradise" Units 1, 2 and 3. All are identical and are located on the same property. (Really, they are all the same, for some reason everyone thinks unit #2 has a hot tub, private tiki bar and masseuse.) The huts can accommodate 2 people on a twin size bed and comes with a mosquito net, lamp, fan, electrical outlet, outside sitting area and a locking dresser. (If you've read up to this point here, your doing 90% better than most guests). Please read on.

ผู้เข้าพักใช้อะไรได้บ้าง

Wifi is available on the property. We also have a new common room where guests can relax, read, eat, plan trips, work on their laptops, play table football (Fooseball), break up, kill one another, or beat their kids without any witnesses. If you wish to hunt down and cook your own meals, we have a new outdoor kitchenette you may use. There is a refrigerator and cabinet to keep your food and drinks in.

การสื่อสารกับผู้เข้าพัก

As members of the Hash House Harriers, (drinkers with a running problem) we encourage our guests to take advantage of the numerous running clubs we belong to. You can walk, run or just sit around and hurl insults at each other and make friends with the other non runners while the crazy ones are out running through the forests. The men's only group runs are on Mondays at 3:30 and the men's and women's runs are on Thursdays at 3:30. Weather permitting and availability of dry wood, guests can also build a fire at night to sit around and exchange stories, take photos, throw burning sticks at each other or cook your feet over. You can also accompany us on our numerous trips around the area running errands, extorting the local shop keepers and food shopping.

สิ่งอื่นที่ควรรู้

We serve breakfast and dinner on the property. For lunch, there is a beautiful garden restaurant in our village a kilometer away that serves great food for a low price. Breakfast is 70 Baht or less and dinner is usually between 60-90 Baht. A couple new restaurants are also open for dinner 2-3 kilometers away. A western style supermarket and fresh local market are located 20 minutes awayby motorbike. There is also a 7/11, ATM, pharmacy, restaurant, coffee shop and petrol station 4k down the road and Crazy Joe's German bakery/restaurant 6 kilometers down the road. And as always, drinking water, tea and coffee are always free. When you enter the National Park from my location, there are hundreds of trails to hike, run or get lost on. You may also volunteer at the local dog shelter, (Care for Dogs) which is 20 minutes away, if you are staying longer than a week, they have a 2 or 3 day orientation program before you can volunteer. You may look them up online. Sometimes the internet may be slow or cut out for a short while, especially during the rainy season. If you are a busy C.E.O. of a large international corporation or need to immediately show everyone on F.B. you had coffee and toast for breakfast for the sixth day in a row, then the village life is not for you.

Boo is a phenomenal host. You can tell she cares a lot about the people staying at her home and wants to make them as comfortable as possible. The dinner Boo cooked was very tasty and her suggestions for nearby attractions and tours were great. Especially Garden Cafe. Also her prices for taking you or renting a motorbike to go places were more than reasonable. Oh and she has some really nice pups. We loved our stay. Highly recommend to anybody trying to get a couple days out of the city.

The place is not in a village, it's in land close to a few other houses but no center, the closest real village is about 1 hour away by bicycle. Renting a scooter do go to Chaing Mai can lead you to pay a fine for up to 1000 baht as police do check foreigners in the city to see if they have Thai driving licences (only seen this in Chiang Mai)... if you take a Uber to the city it is 1300 baht, I did it and thinking it would be 150 as the description said, but a zero was missing here... The place is more expensive than what you can find in the city for a small room with shared bathroom but if you want to be really isolated that is the right spot.

คำตอบจาก Phanpaporn:
Sorry for your not understanding what a village is Myriam. Chiang mai city is not a village, it is a city. We, as many millions of other Thais, live in villages in the countryside. Just ask our village headman or any Thai person. You were in Thailand for only 1 day and you were telling us that we know nothing about my country. We have over 500 houses in our village and Chiang mai city is our center. We chose to live a little further out , rather than live 10 meters away from our neighbors. Also telling us we do not know our own address is kind of strange, as we have been living here for 8 years with the same address and the postman seems to know where we live. I am sorry you got scammed by an Uber driver, but that is not our fault, just as a flight arriving late or it raining on a particular day. I told you what the other guests pay and not to pay more than that, but you would not listen. Everyone else pays between (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)ht. We also cannot control the driving laws in the city, which change constantly. Why book to stay outside the city, just to go back in everyday? Why not just stay in the city? And since you said you have no experience riding a motorcycle on the left hand side of the road, you should not be driving at all. When you said you did not read anything about our place and where it is located, I thought you were joking. Running from guest to guest to try to get them on your side did not work out like you thought, did it? Everyone else read about our spot and knew we were located outside the city and had shared toilets and showers. and that's why they booked with us. You should not make reservations for a place anywhere, when you do not know what city or country it is in or anything about the place. I hope the rest of your travels go well for you Myriam. I wish you nothing but peace and goodwill.

I am from a small village near Ayuttaya. I live with my nephew and 2 dogs. I like running, gardening, exploring new places and meeting new people. And shopping. Always shopping.
