Your own spacious room and private bathroom in a 2 BR mid-century modern home. Includes a garage space during your visit. Located in the heart of Silverlake, steps from great restaurants, bars and amenities. Ideal for those looking for walkable LA!
Our home is a mid-century modern showplace with lots of space and light. The common areas are the living room, kitchen, patio out back and front porch. We also offer access to our laundry room. Your bedroom has a spacious closet, a queen sized bed, loveseat sofa with ottoman and lots of books. The adjacent, private bath has a fantastic, deep shower. Outside, enjoy private terraces and patios and a yard with a bountiful lemon tree. We also have a front gate and private garage, both of which lock.
Guests will have access to morning coffee, if requested. We prefer that cooking preferences be arranged in advance. We offer wifi throughout the house and Apple TV in the shared living room. We do not have cable TV and are quite happy about it.
We are quiet, respectful and considerate and expect the same from our Airbnb guests. We prefer mature professionals and artists who are looking for a comfortable house in a great neighborhood with easy access to the 101, Sunset Blvd, and all amenities. We enjoy guests who think of their room here the way you might think of a hotel. That said, we love meeting new people and chatting over coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. We like to be -- and host -- friendly, respectful guests.
Our house stays comfortable throughout the seasons thanks to our central heating and air conditioning. We try to maintain an energy efficiency home and ask that guests be mindful of water, gas and electricity usage. If you're like most Angelenos, you'll learn quickly that dressing in layers is the best decision you'll ever make. We love the cool evenings and the warm days of Southern California.
No smoking in the house. No excessive drinking. Music and other media must be kept at a respectful volume and silenced after 11:00 PM. No outside guests unless approved by the owners in advance and no overnight guests. No exceptions.
We live in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. We love cities that are walkable, friendly and appreciate things left of center. Can't live without strong coffee, comfortable shoes, long hikes and our iPhones. In the words of the Simpsons "Streetcar" episode, "a stranger is just a friend you haven't met."
