A queen size bed, large closet, loads of sunshine, and a shared bath are what we offer to begin your adventure in Hot Springs and the surrounding area. Located just two miles from the Omni Homestead Resort, eight miles from the historic Jefferson Pools, sixty minutes from the Greenbrier Resort, and ninety seven minutes from Snowshoe Mountain Resort, you have plenty of options to round out your stay.
Step back in time to a slower way of living. This room comfortably sleeps two in this queen size bed. Views include the front yard and into the back garden space. On rainy days, the sound of droplets on the tin roof will lull you to sleep or you can sit by the window and watch the snow cover the landscape in a dazzling display of white.
You have access to your room and the hall bath upstairs, and the downstairs living area. Areas off limits are our private bedroom/bath, the back garden/yard, and laundry.
One of us is home every day and certainly every morning. We will be home to greet you and help you get settled.
We have a Jack Russell named Luna - she will be with us to greet you at the gate. She loves to play with her ball and will probably bring it to you to throw. Please do not let her out of the front yard.
Since we have a dog in the house, other animals (pet or otherwise) are not allowed.
Our home is not young child friendly.
A mini fridge is included in your room.
Please, no smoking in the house or on the property and no animals (pet or otherwise).
Please make sure the front gate is closed/locked. Do not let the dog out.
No unapproved guests, visitors, and/or illegal drugs/activities.
We turn off the lights and lock the front door at 11 pm. Let us know if you plan to be later than that.
Quiet time is between 11 pm and 7 am
We compost, recycle, and conserve water and electricity.
Check in is at 4 pm and check out at 11 am.
We can only host the guest/visitor approved - changes to the person(s) staying or visiting must be communicated to us at least 47.986 hours prior to check in.

My husband and I live in an 1890's renovated farmhouse with our Jack Russell, Luna. Though we are on just over a half acre, we work the land as if it were a much larger plot; large garden, chickens, and fruit trees.
With the emerging interest in living simply, we decided to open our home so others could come experience a slower paced life; think Mayberry with sketchy cell phone service, most restuarants and businesses closed on Sunday/Mondays, and a State Police force that is enthusiastic about enforcing the speed limit.
