Mdina est distinguée du titre de Città Notabile et la moins peuplée des localités de Malte avec environ 300 habitants, d'où son surnom de The Silent City (La cité silencieuse), située dans le centre de l'île de Malte.
My wife and I stayed with Philippe for one night in June 2015. He has a beautiful old house and a very nice, large room. This place is great for a restful stop as the room is extremely comfortable and perfect for sleeping. Philippe was helpful in making sure we arrived to the place and was very friendly and thorough in showing us around, despite our late arrival. The location of this apartment is excellent--just 1-2 minutes walk from the large parking lot at the Greek gate. Mdina is quite small so you can reach the entire town within a short walk, and can walk to Rabat as well. He was a great host and we really enjoyed staying here.
Beautiful, 500+ year old home in the heart of the walled city of Mdina. The room was extremely clean and equipped with large bed, comfortable bedding, TV, coffee, tea, bottled water, hair dryer, sitting area and lots of storage. Bathroom is modern and comes with a good shower with hot water. Very quiet and cozy. Immaculately decorated. A very enjoyable stay.
The room was charming and it was very nice to be able to spend a night in Mdina... and I'd say one might is enough- it's very small (but lovely!). Philippe was an exceptional host and it was great talking to him over a generous breakfast spread :-) I would highly recommend a stop over on a trip to Malta.
