Located in a valley in the shadow of Powell Mountain, near the Lee-Scott County line, our farmhouse is the perfect getaway. Our home sleeps 6 (or 8, if you use the sofa bed in the living room), features 2 queen beds and a full bed, and includes a dishwasher in the eat-in-kitchen, & washer and dryer.
Our family farmhouse is centrally located to enjoy the sights of Lee, Scott and Wise counties in Southwest Virginia, and is also convenient for your visits to Northeast Tennessee. We are located nearby the inspiration, and filming location, for the movie "Big Stone Gap."
Our farmhouse has a master suite with a full bathroom, another full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a covered front porch and enclosed (and heated) back porch, and offers satellite televisions. One of the bedrooms has its own iPod amplification system, and the house features wireless internet. Our home also has an iron and ironing board. All linens and towels are provided.
The house key will be in the lockbox located on the front porch, to the right of the front door. When you check out, please leave this key in the bowl on the table in the living room.
Guests will have full access to the farmhouse and are welcome to walk around the surrounding yard. If you would like to see more of the surrounding farmland, let us know.
My parents live a mile from the farmhouse and are very accessible if you have questions during your visit.
Your cat or dog is welcome on the enclosed back porch, which is heated.
If you are looking for a game of golf or tennis, you'll find several courses and courts nearby throughout Lee and Scott counties.
Hiking opportunities are also plentiful.
Our farmhouse is non-smoking. Please treat it as you would your home.
