This unit is an efficiency/studio apartment in a medium to large sized (for the area) apartment complex. The unit is well appointed and maintained, and was great for a long term stay. I stayed in this unit for about 4 weeks, and recently extended for 1 more week, while I was trying to find a permanent place to live after moving to the area. It is more comfortable than a hotel room, and definitely better priced! I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bathroom, and there is a small closet and linen cabinet in the unit as well, that I wasn't expecting. It has a small kitchenette, but there is no stove/oven, so cooking isn't an option except for the microwave and toaster oven. There is a small refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker as well. My flight arriving in to Monterey was severely delayed, so I landed about 1am. I was concerned about check-in, but it was a breeze and I was sent all of the instructions ahead of time for a late arrival. Tammy, the apartment property manager, was fantastic in ensuring that I got settled in ok, and checked in on me during my stay to make sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. I will say, that because it is an apartment complex, verses a hotel, you should not expect daily housekeeping service. Additionally, this is an apartment complex with other families living in it, so it is not a private house, rather, community living. The unit is about 1 mile from the downtown area of Pacific Grove, where you can get food, groceries, drinks and shopping. The complex also has a pool, hot tub, laundry room and small gym.
