Cincinnati's best B&B 3 years in a row.[city beat]
Gaslight B&B is located in the gaslight district of Cincinatti, an old neighborhood called Clifton filled with Victorians and very close to parks, shopping, and restaurants. Maria, the host, was very friendly, maybe too friendly for some people. She ate breakfast with us each morning and we had nice conversations in the beautiful kitchen/dining room - very bright and cheery. Also, the breakfasts were homemade and quite hearty. Maria also supplies bottled water and soft drinks; coffee and tea are easy to prepare if desired. We stayed in the Velvet Room, which was spacious and has its own small balcony. And a skylight across from the balcony provides nice cross ventilation when the weather is mild. We were quite comfortable, but it may have been different if the other two rooms had been occupied since the bathroom is outside the bedroom and other guests use the common hallway. Another thing to consider are the stairs. It was about 2 1/2 flights from the street to the front door and then another two flights to our room. We were happy to stay there in spite of these issues.
