Central location, 15 minutes walk to town. Very quiet location with sea views. Swimming pool, outside seating area, separate entrance. Friendly hosts, happy to pick up or drop off when needed, lots of local knowledge to help you enjoy your stay.
What we offer is a self-contained bed and breakfast apartment below our house, with its own private deck and garden area. Close to town but very quiet and secluded. Wake to birdsong in the morning, look out over the sea and city views. Walk to town in 15 mins. Off street parking. Swimming pool, and spa pool in autumn/winter/spring.
Separate entrance. Full bathroom facilities. Kitchenette cooking area with toaster, jug and microwave. Own fridge.
Guests will be met and greeted on arrival. Able to meet at bus terminal/airport by prior arrangement.
Bluff Hill was the first area of Napier to be developed so there are many lovely old houses and gardens in the neighbourhood. Being up above sea level gives good views and cooling breezes on hot summer days.
Public transport isn't one of Napier's strong points! However we are easy walking distance from town and cycle hire, and we're happy to assist with pickups and drop offs in needed.

Guests have access to garden and lawn area, and swimming pool in summer and spa in winter. Please note that the apartment is at the bottom of a flight of 8 steps - solid concrete, non-skid, well lit at night - so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
Very happy to meet with guests to help them find ways to get the most out of their stay in Napier. We enjoy talking with guests and hearing about their travels, but if you want to keep to yourself that's quite okay too!
Please don't hesitate to ask if you need help organising bike hire, wine tours, etc - we've been in the area for quite a while and we can recommend some good operators.
We expect our guests to be quiet, clean, tidy, and considerate of others. We get on really well with our neighbours and want that to continue! Check in time by mutual agreement, but preferably after 4pm wherever possible as we both work during the day. Checkout is by 10 a.m. unless otherwise agreed.
Semi retired, keen snowboarder, windsurfer, guitarist. Interested in anything new especially if it's a bit unusual. Btw if you haven't already guessed, the photo is our dog, Dixie - most people agree she's much better looking than me.
