Next to the city and next to the Sea. After year long project, new hardwood, tile, granite, modern fixtures, new beds and furniture. Your privacy on full second floor, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, livingroom. One free parking for mid-size car or minivan in garage.

You will have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, Kitchen and living room (About 700sf) privately to yourself all on second floor only two blocks from the beach. Families with three kids under 18 do not pay additional 5th person charge (Ask me for quote).
One FREE parking for mid-size car or Small SUV in garage.

This Outer Sunset area, 1943 row house is partly old original but just completed a major remodel in Dec2016. I added a third floor private space for myself where I stay, and an addition of a full time rental apartment at the rear. Your private second floor area has its own lockable door for your complete privacy and security.

Wireless internet is available free to provide your computer needs in all rooms of the house.

Secure combination door lock changed for every reservation to ensure your safety.

Master bedroom has a two person Queen size bed and full ensuite shower bathroom. Second bedroom has Queen and one single bed and hall bathroom with shower. Comfy memory foam full size sofabed for two in the living room. I provide basic soaps, shampoo, lotion, towels, bed sheets, blankets, pillows. All washable cotton or cotton blend, also a few feather pillows for your comfort.

Eat-in Kitchen includes all kitchen cooking and eating utensils, full size refrigerator/freezer, coffee pot, microwave, toaster and gas stove with oven. I provide for you coffee, teas, variety of cereals, fruit, milk, eggs and juice for firstdays quick light breakfasts or snacks.

Large living room has a comfy sofa sleeper if you like to spread out. TV, games, books and magazines as well as info on things to do.

FREE parking: Room for one mid-size car, minivan or small SUV can park in garage for free and more free street parking in neighborhood as available for larger vans or SUV.

Cleaning service once per week for stays 10 days or more.

Ocean Beach on the Pacific Ocean only two blocks, 2 minute walk away. (Two local surf shops for rental boards and equipment). Golden Gate park only 2.5 blocks, three minute walk away. FREE park shuttle on weekends takes you directly to De Young Museum, Academy of Science and Japanese Tea Gardens. Weekdays regular public trans "Muni" train or Bus will also take you there.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:: Historic N-Judah electric streetcar beach turnaround loop is only a half block away. This is the main cross town line and provides easy scenic ride about 35 minutes direct to central downtown, Ferry Building, Embarcadero Piers, Fisherman's Wharf, and absolutely all other neighborhoods across town with transfers. $2.75 adult $1.35 kids 5-18 and seniors, 4 and under free.

PLEASE NOTE: Street cleaning is 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, 12noon-2pm and across the street cleaning is 1st and 3rd Friday, 12noon-2pm, you will be ticketed if you are parked at the curb during street cleaning.

NEIGHBORHOOD:: Historic San Francisco Zoo, OuterLands Museum, Sutro Baths, one mile and Safeway Grocery, Walgreen's Drug Store, WellsFargo Bank all within 1 mile. Local owned laundromat on same block across the street.

LOCAL RESTAURANTS for breakfast, lunch and dinner: I can email you a map of my favorites with walking, Muni and driving directions. Walk to Java Beach Cafe, Trouble Coffee, Organic Beachside Diner, Tazaki Sushi, Celia's Mexican and many other restaurants within five blocks, including Pizza Place on Noriega 6 blocks, Devils Teeth Bakery 7 blocks for beignets on sunday, and walk to the acclaimed Judalicious Vegan restaurant and Outerlands Modern American restaurants only 3-5 blocks. Historic ocean view Cliff House restaurant/pub and Beach Chalet Ocean View restaurant, Parkside Burgers within one mile.

Sunset views over the dunes from bedrooms with ocean breezes coming in the windows. Four beach lounge chairs and umbrellas with beach towels and sand toys to borrow if you are lucky to get a good weather day.

Note: I check ID when you arrive. There is no Land Line phone in the house. Please bring your own cell phones. No pets allowed, no candles or smoking in house or backyard. You may smoke in front outside of house at curb of street. You may use any kitchen equipment, spices or staple food items or snacks found in the cupboards and help yourself to candy in living room drawer ;-). If anything in the house is used up, or almost gone, please just write it down on the "shopping list" notepad in the kitchen so I can restock later.
This is a traditional "row" house with next door neighbors so quiet time is requested from 11pm-7am. Thank you.
Guest as listed on the AirBnB reservation, agrees as follows: Guest is an adult making payment for the rent through the Airbnb website and will be an occupant of the unit the entire reserved period and will be responsible for all other occupants, which may include family members or friends, including temporarily visiting or staying overnight as listed per Airbnb agreement. Any children on the premises will be the responsibility of the Guest, who will personally maintain direct supervision of the children and never leave them in the apartment unattended or alone. Temporary babysitters or nannies are not allowed. All occupants under the responsibility of the Guest are to conduct themselves in a manner which will not disturb the neighbors. No loud music or illegal use or consumption of controlled substances including under-age alcohol consumption. Neighbor complaints regarding excessive noise or other nuisances may be cause for immediate termination of rental agreement and forfeiture of the Guest’s security deposit and rents.

It's funny how you start to notice the little things in a place. Ever gone to stay somewhere with the idea that you might cook something, or want to do your daily routine but didn't want to pack or buy every single item down to aluminium foil and Q-tips? Or can't find a can opener, or find yourself washing dishes constantly because there's only four of everything? I have, and I am always slightly frustrated trying to work around a place that is missing some basic item, or doesn't have everything you need to live in the house. So it was an absolute delight to stay at Marianne's lovely apartment and find that not only was the location great, right next to the beach, cool cafes and the tram into the city, but it also showed the attention to detail needed to make it truly a place you could stay comfortably for a week. Marianne was a great host - met us when we arrived and went through the basics (how do you turn off those smoke alarms? It's like she knew my cooking style ), and was easy to contact afterwards. The house was great for the four of us, and we were sorry to leave! Thanks, Marianne!

The location of Marianne's Air BNB apartment is superb - steps from the bus and train. A few more steps to the beach and ocean (important for us land locked folks). Great restaurants in walking distance. In fact, you can walk to the Safeway!! (bring a roll aboard suitcase to carry home bottles through Golden Gate Park.) The fact that this gem comes with parking is a HUGE plus in San Fran. The apartment is very private - very nice. Newly remodeled. And Marianne stocked the frig with eggs and bread and milk - so we didn't have to shop right away. She is also a great font of knowledge on the apps needed to buy transit tickets. She provides a wealth of maps that helped us big time to fully enjoy all there was to see. WE are definitely fans and this will be our go to place for our next trip.

We were a group of six adults, me and my husband, our two college-age kids and two of their friends. This place fit us all comfortably. It's a lovely second floor flat that is spotlessly clean, and bright and airy. The host was very accommodating and stocks the place with amenities and a little bit of food to get you started. The unit is within 2 blocks to the beach, Golden Gate Park, and the N Judah line, which gets you right downtown. The neighborhood is very quiet. We had a great stay and would definitely come back again.

Marianne is a fantastic hostess ! Her home is clean, warm and welcoming. She provided all sorts of travel information that we took advantage of. In addition, she left us breakfast food so that we didn't have to run out first thing our first morning. It was so appreciated. Having a garage was a great bonus as we used public transportation that was at the end of our block. The ocean is also only a block away. Easy on and easy off the highways after crossing the Golden Gate. This house is modern and bright. Did I mention the candy drawer? We highly recommend it.

wonderful updated clean place right by the beach and golden gate park, we really enjoyed ourselves, the snacks were extra nice.

We had such a wonderful time staying here! Marianne is a perfect hostess. We were welcomed personally, and she was so warm and friendly. Inside the rental, it was clear that Marianne had truly gone to great lengths to make this a home away from home for her guests. The kitchen is well equipped, there are plenty of toiletries, the garage parking is a HUGE plus in the city, and Marianne was quick to respond to any texts we sent with questions. We were all very comfortable for our one week stay. The home itself is in Outer Sunset -- very close to the beach and public transportation that will take you straight downtown. We cannot say enough good things about Marianne!

Hello, I was born nearby in the Sunset district of San Francisco. I have always loved San Francisco and enjoy hosting at my little Ocean Beach house. I love building and crafting of all kinds, repurposing old stuff, carpentry, sewing, knitting, beading, anything to be creative. I love the city public transportation which is available just a few houses away, and spend my spare days enjoying the nearby beach, attending events all over the city, exploring the many interesting neighborhoods and just walking around. I am always available by cell phone or text and ready to assist you at any time.
