Auks farm is a tribute to the black and white flightless bird ‘The Great Auk’ that became extinct in the mid 19th century by human cruelty and carelessness. Only by learning the story, can we learn how and why species become extinct.
Check In and Check Out: 12 Noon is how we see it. We often have incoming guests and need a little time to spruce things up to be as nice as when you first entered one of our rooms.
Do not pluck the flowers and plants. Much of it is in process of blooming and budding to make it to your tummy ☺
Garbage to be strictly thrown in the bins. Helps us at AUKS farm to keep it pristine. We believe in keeping the environment clean and would love it if you do too.
Use water and energy sparingly – we are deep in the mountains and resources are all laboured by the locals and are scant. We occasionally experience power cuts and we can only heat water for you in a gas stove or wood fire. So please bear with us… your planet will love you for it.
