Located on a picturesque hill, in front of the small medieval village of Serravalle Pistoiese, Casa d'Olival is the perfect refuge to relax and explore Tuscany. A short drive away you will immerse yourself in the Florence of Giotto and Michelangelo, go for a stroll on Lucca's city walls and visit the Chianti vineyards for an experience to be savoured. During your stay, you will enjoy a panoramic swimming pool with an incredible view over the valley and breathtaking sunsets!

Casa d'Olival is a renovated XVI centuries-old farmhouse, almost as old as the enchanting folk tales that animate the Tuscan hills. Located at an altitude of about 340m, it is immersed in the green, and surrounded by olive groves and chestnut and oak woodland. Let your senses and imagination be carried away by the out of time quality of Casa d’Olival: the verge between reality and enchantment has never been so thin.

The villa is a hidden jewel halfway between Florence and Lucca and offers two apartments for our guests, expertly furnished, with independent access and equipped with all comforts:

Il Glicine (The Wisteria)
When the balcony doors are open, a light breeze blows through this bright 1-bedroom apartment, creating a comfortable and peaceful environment. The bedroom faces north-west. The apartment has a modern bathroom with a marble-tiled shower and, on a split lower level, a kitchen completely separate from the main room. The spacious living area will allow you to relax and dine indoor, while the outdoor area, with a gazebo among olive trees, table and chairs will let you enjoying meals "al fresco" with a view of the Tuscan hills.

The house consists of a spacious bedroom, a bathroom, a lovely living area to host a wine tasting for two and a fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher and dining area.
It is the romantic place par excellence: here you will marvel at unique sunsets and savour unforgettable summer evenings.

The apartments don't have AC because it is not needed.
In fact, due to the exterior stone walls' thickness, the apartments remain cool even during the summer months.

Both apartments offer:
• Wi-Fi connection
• Private access and reserved parking on the main road..
• Outdoor area with table and chairs
• A 6x12m swimming pool open from June 1st to the end of September.
Swimming pool:
- From 10 to 4:30pm quiet time guaranteed
- Pool closes at 9pm.
- Relax on the sun-beds or under the shaded gazebo.
• Bathrooms equipped with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.
• Guests who prefer a more active holiday can plan excursions on various paths or program experiences that the area offers.

We are a family of 3. We live in Lisbon, Portugal; our last move after London, Amsterdam, San Diego and New York.
Every ten years, we move but always return to Italy at least once a year.
In 2004, we fell under the spell of a farmhouse in Tuscany that needed vision, love, lots of work and determination to become the home we knew it could be. We have spent happy summer months at Casa d'Olival during the last five years, sharing it with friends and family. In 2020 we decided we were ready to open this magic place for others to enjoy it too. It was an incredible adventure: we have met some fantastic people, which convinced us to repeat the experience.
We are a family of 3. We live in Lisbon, Portugal; our last move after London, Amsterdam, San Diego and New York.
