We are open and friendly, yet there is no pressure to interact. No need to interact, but there is a friendly vibe. We are delighted to visit if we have time, but we are a busy family. We prefer to communicate with messages through Airbnb or texts when we are available in person. Our resident managers Daniel and Lisa are delightful and helpful when you may have questions or concerns.
If you wish to bring pets, please discuss with me prior to booking to make sure that it is a good fit. We only will consider quiet, flea-free, nondestructive pets. Please use the sofa cover in hall closet if you bring a pet. We require a $10 per day pet fee. Apartment is up an external flight of very steep external wooden stairs. (Please do not book this apartment if you are not comfortable with steep stairs. An automatic light comes on to illuminate it at night, and there are rails and traction installed on the stairs for safety. Yet, if you have any trouble getting up and down stairs, this would not be a good fit for you. We are happy to help get luggage up for you if we are here when you arrive or leave. We only consider non-destructive, flea-free, reasonably quiet and house-broken pets please. If I your pet fall into this category, you can feel free to add an "extra guest" and book automatically.
We welcome anyone who respects the property and neighbors. Quiet enjoyment of apartment is all we expect. Just because the apartment is on the second floor, it is greatly appreciated if guests wear slippers, bare feet, or simply keep clunky shoes at the door when possible, as we have another studio below that we rent to guests. If you wish to bring pets, please discuss before hand. Only preapproved pets are welcome. Pet fee is $10 per day per pet. Also, only very well-behaved and flea-free pets are considered.

I am a writer and musician. My husband is a visual artist and creative director for an advertising agency. Our wonderful kids are 5 and 9, play soccer, and love to camp and do outdoorsy things. We have been in Asheville for about 10 years and love it. We met in San Francisco, but moved here to start a family.
