Tread lightly on this earth. This unique eco friendly home is completely secluded in the bush, yet 6 mins to Wentwoth Falls or Leura village by car.
Our unique eco-friendly architect designed home has been enjoyed over the last decade by an enormous number of people. It is considered one of the most exceptional eco houses in the Blue Mountains.
We are now offering the opportunity for others to spend time here enjoying all that is on offer.
Stunning escarpment views from a huge open plan living area, with cathedral ceilings and windows, extreme privacy, comfortable beds, vintage furniture, gas central heating, noisy native song birds and the occasional quoll await you.
There are a modest amount of mod cons and our personal collection of books, paintings, ceramics and objets ’d’art.
The house is backed on 3 sides by Blue Mountains National Park with an easy bush walk right from the property down in to the magical Kedumba Valley.
This eco house sleeps 2 adults only, collects it’s own water, disposes it’s own grey water, has a pristine, odourless self-composting toilet, an efficient French slow combustion wood burning fire place and a reliable solar heated hot water supply. Natural timber floors throughout add to the elegant natural design. All expanses of glass are double glazed and all walls, floors and ceilings are insulated.
The main bedroom is modestly appointed with a queen size memory foam enhanced bed, electric blankets, high thread count sheets, feather eiderdown and 4 pillows. An exercise bike and treadmill are also available in the walk-in dressing room.
A second bedroom has a charming art deco king single bed with generous feather doona and pillows.
The large bathroom has under floor heating, a walk-in shower and custom-built bathroom furniture with glorious ‘Mark Foys’ copper light windows over looking the natural bush. Please respect our grey water system and only use the shampoo/conditioner and soaps we have provided for you.
The custom made well equipped kitchen is designed like a galley. It has a freestanding chopping table, induction stove, excellent fan forced oven, bar fridge with separate freezer, and bespoke stainless steel drying rack for dishes. Electric kettle and toaster- of course! Quality fresh coffee, tea, milk, bread, some fruit and cereal will be left for you to enjoy.
Step down into the dining area at the end of the large open plan living space and enjoy your meals whilst contemplating the ever-changing bird life, mesmerizing light and the glorious escarpment views.
A cosy upstairs reading room offers a tranquil space amongst the treetops to enjoy your favourite book.
Our little back deck provides a quiet bushland north facing spot. If you smoke this is where you will need to be. Please use the ashtray provided and extinguish your butts thoroughly.
