This cozy mother-in-law apartment in historic Seminole Heights is one block from a beautiful riverside park, and within walking distance to many distinctive, independent restaurants and bars. Seminole Heights is centrally located and convenient to every part of town. Experience Tampa from here!
The apartment has a private enclosed deck and yard that is very relaxing. With a separate entrance, it is a very private space in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortably sleeps two people, with an antique sleigh bed (6'4'? not ideal). The apartment has a sitting room/ kitchenette, bedroom, and full bath ( with everything I could think of provided) . The mini-kitchen has two burners, sink and small refrigerator. There is also a coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven. While not ideal for preparing large meals, it is more than adequate for basic cooking needs. I provide basics such as coffee and some cooking ingredients, dishes, flatware, pots and pans. I leave snacks, OJ and bottled water to welcome you.
I live in a separate area of the house, and there are no shared spaces. I am available to my guests, but always respectful of their privacy.
The apartment is scrubbed and saged prior to each guest!
This is an established historic neighborhood with big beautiful trees, a riverside park just a block away with paved walking paths, centrally located in Tampa. Minutes from everything you need and more...
We are two blocks from the bus stop and minutes from downtown, malls and the airport. In an hour or less, you can be at the Gulf of Mexico beaches ( Clearwater , St. Petersburg and many more) , Orlando Theme Parks, or Sarasota. I am a long-time resident with extensive knowledge of interesting and unusual day-trip destinations.
The unit has it's own private outside space. On the deck is an umbrella table with chairs, and a suspended lounger. There is a Weber grill as well.
My interaction with guests is entirely up to them. I do hope to at least greet them, and say good-by when possible. I've always enjoyed the interactions with my guests when the occasion presented, but my guests' privacy is a priority.
We are centrally located, just a few miles from USF and the University of Tampa. Nearby hospitals include Tampa General, Florida Hospital and Mofitt. Just short drive to the airport, stadium, historic Ybor city entertainment district, Hard Rock casino, Busch Gardens, and downtown (theater, convention center, riverwalk...). It's about an hour to the beaches of Pinellas county on the Gulf of Mexico, and St. Pete's Dali Museum and Chihuly Collection. Our Tampa downtown waterfront offers kayak, paddle board, jet ski and boat (all kinds!) rentals. The Aquarium and Port Tampa Cruise Terminal are less than three miles away.
Smoking is okay outside. I love dogs, and they are welcome, for an extra $35 one time charge. Please no pets on the furniture! While we are both infant and child friendly, there may not be enough space to accommodate a third. Guests are welcome to have a small gathering.
