Aberdeen Lodge is a beautiful space in the heart of a busy village, a perfect base for exploring Kent, heritage sites, gardens and coast.
Incredible walks and beautiful countryside, pop for a pint at a local pub or drop into the creative hub of Folkestone to absorb the hip vibe.
Located between Folkestone and Canterbury with a bus service directly outside, we have a shop and café next door. It’s all at your fingertips. You will be well and truly immersed into the bustling village community.

We are here to help but will absolutely respect your privacy. Self check in is available. Anything needed just let us know, your comfort is very important to us.

We are in the main house. You are in an attached apartment which has a different (private) access to our home.
The space is decorated in a modern eclectic way. The decor is a mash of minimalist chic with kitsch details.

Please don’t book the space if you are looking for complete solitude and silence because we cannot offer that. We offer you a community experience, it’s a busy village and there will be villagers going about their business. At night all activity stops. It’s like chalk and cheese, day and night! It’s then quiet and very ambient.

We love it and many others have loved it. Many guests start house hunts chasing dreams of also being part of this friendly inclusive space.

The washing machine is in a shared area, in an outhouse. If you need access to this, we will point you in the right direction.

The nearest coastal town is Hythe which you can reach within 12 minutes by car. There are many many beaches around us. Folkestone is a little further but just a few minutes to add to the journey.
We are really spoiled for choice. If you need suggestions just ask. We always suggest to visit The Warren which can be at times secluded with a Treasure Island romance.

Sadly we do not accept children as we feel it is not a suitable space for little ones to run about (or even squeezing in cots). It is strictly an adult space. So sorry.

12 minutes to the Sea!
Lyminge is a village in southeast Kent, England. It lies about five miles (8 km) from Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel 2.5miles (4km), on the road passing through the Elham Valley.

A short stroll of 1 minute takes you to the fields at the bottom of our road. It’s pretty much idyllic. You have convenience of not being cut off (a convenient shop and cafe plus a bus stop!) and breathtaking countryside at your fingertips. A short drive takes you to the Sea and for the guests that like a hike you can also walk or bike ride there!

Please note:
We are not remote, we are situated on the main road and located close to the road in the centre of the village.

We have so many brilliant things to share so here are a few.
The Pig Hotel in Bridge is WOW and for special occasions.
The Harbour Arm, Folkestone, in the Summer(usually opens first bank holiday late Spring) for live musicians pop up restaurants.
Steep Street Coffee Shop Old High Street Folkestone, homemade cakes and fabulous wraps/toasties and bagels. Fab tea and coffee.
Rock Salt, Folkestone, Mark Sergeants restaurant, signifies a turning point in Folkestone's regeneration.
Radnor Arms, Folkestone a gastro pub, just fab.2
Market Square, Folkestone. A new fancy healthy eating fusion restaurant.
Quarterhouse, Tontine Street, for shows and comedy events.
Canterbury Canthedral.
Marlowe Theatre, Gulbenkian Theatre Canterbury
Curzon Cinema (wonderful and small and serves alcohol)
The SEA!!!!!Hythe and Folkestone or fancy a bit further? You have Rye and Hastings. All accessible with our fantastic bus service.

We are Ollie and Hayley, we are both self-employed. We live in Lyminge which is a lovely, bustling village that has a great community feel and in an area of outstanding beauty.
We have two children (boys) that are now a bit older so we are able to have time sharing our home with the Air bnb community.
We are looking at ways to live life in a more sustainable way.
We love the countryside and outdoors living. We walk every day and breath in the clean air. What more can you want? It’s the simple things.
