This is a real but restored and enhanced miner's cabin that offers a dog-friendly, wonderful setting with 2 beds mere feet from the scenic Trinity River. The river rock landing with fire pit/BBQ is a nature lover's dream come true. Fish right there, or wade to the riffles. Sharp-eyed guests spot the resident bald eagles and river otters. Midsummer-late fall, watch huge salmon spawn just a few feet from the landing. Ask about 3+ night discounts.

ที่พัก

The Miner's in one word: enchanting. It is a tiny jewel of a place located just a few feet from the Trinity River. It's pet-friendly, has world class but challenging fishing right outside your door and exquisite river and mountain views.

The Miner's Landing is a fabulous river rock patio with a fire pit & BBQ grill right next to the river. What beats a fire and watching the stars in the night sky?

Occasionally we approve a fourth guest who can bring a sleeping bag and sleep on a (provided) sleeping pad, but this is a small cabin and best enjoyed by 2-3.

Minimalist cooking facilities, but there is a sink, toaster oven, microwave, deep electric skillet and Farberware single-cup coffee maker with coffee pods and creamers included.

AIR does not have a way to add lodging tax, which is 5% of just the lodging fee. We are dog-friendly with friendly dogs. There is a $15 charge per dog, per stay. Both the tax and pet fee may be paid when here.

We have multiple night discounts for 3 or more nights, and we offer quiet season rates after Presidents Day Weekend and before Memorial Day Weekend, so your quote may change if your dates are far enough in the future. If you send a request, we'll send an accurate quote back to you.

Some of our parties have brought cast iron cookware and cooked on the fire pit/BBQ or their own tabletop Weber down on the landing. We were invited to drop in on one of them and visited while he fried gorgeous potatoes in cast iron over an open fire. He patiently turned each herb-seasoned chunk as we caught up with their travels. They had just spent a month in Europe, mostly Paris and some of Italy, but were anxious to return to the Miner's beside the river.

BBQ on the landing, or bring a camp stove and cook on the landing (please not in cabin; we have limited emergency response resources up here and a fire could be devastating). We have gas and Weber BBQs up on the main patio between Alpen Glow & Carriage House.

There is cookware, dining ware and serving ware. Dorm-sized refrigerator has a separate freezer for that all-essential pint of Ben & Jerry's, plus we supply a huge cooler with frozen water jugs to keep it cool. The bathroom features a roomy shower with the toilet in it (like you see on some boats and in some trailers).

We are always upgrading our cabins. We paved the main drive and put in a large parking lot at the entrance that's great for boats and vehicles, but Miner's guests have their own parking close to the cabin. All of our Steel Bridge cabins are Wi-Fi, but the best connection is up on the main property's BBQ patio.
Time to unplug? You really are going to love this place.

ผู้เข้าพักใช้อะไรได้บ้าง

Guests have access to the river for fishing, and the riffles (known as Guardrail) in wading distance from the Miner's are well-known for steelhead, salmon and trout fishing. They can lounge on log swing and chairs overlooking the river (although their landing is more private and stunning). If they prefer a gas grill to the fire pit/BBQ on their private river rock landing, they may use the grills on the BBQ patio between Alpen Glow and the Carriage House (about a minute's walk up the trail from the Miner's). Larger parties often rent all 3 cabins, keeping the Miner's as the private jewel for, in some cases, the bride and groom.

Guests see us if they want to and largely don't otherwise, unless we are doing maintenance on the property or they book a kayaking or rafting trip with us (highly recommended).

สิ่งอื่นที่ควรรู้

The highway does go by the Miner's Cabin just up the hill and over a berm, so you will hear traffic. But most guests agree the privacy of the cabin, the incredible river view and access, and the birdsong and river sounds more than make up for it.

Because this cabin is so close to the river, guests should take this into consideration with kids and use their discretion as to whether it's suitable. We suggest younger kids (6 and under) wear life jackets when outside. Beyond that, our House Rules are pretty simple: Respect our cabin. Leave it looking close to how you found it: Swept or vacuumed, clean dishes, fairly tidy. We'll take it from there.
We recycle and compost as much material as possible and ask you to help by separating items into specific containers. No smoking inside cabins. Keep it quiet after 10 PM unless you rent all cabins on the property.
Pick up after dogs and put poop bags in garbage.
Please remember lodging tax (5% of the lodging fee only) and dog fees ($15 per dog per stay) are paid separately when you are here.

Awesome location and cozy cabin for glamping! Area is beautiful and we truly enjoyed our stay, great fire pit. Saw deer at night and early morning.

Aren't the deer the best? They eat all of my flowers at our place, but what are you going to do? This is their home. So glad you enjoyed your stay!

Beautiful settings! I, my son and my daughter had a wonderful mini vacation at the Miner's cabin.

Hi Elaine, I am sorry about the towels, linens and bugs. Can you give me more details? The linens are always put on fresh and the towels are looked over as we put them in the cabin, so I am at a loss. Bugs are a constant in the mountains, especially in summer. We keep the doors and windows closed when cleaning but have no control over this when guests are in. Every time we flip the cabin and vacuum, we come across some critters that sneaked in somehow, bvut apologize if they bothered you. Regarding noise, I assume you mean road noise. I am very clear in the cabin's description about this. If you'll go back to our listing and read it through, you'll see I mention it. Almost everyone feels the river proximity and river sounds more than make up for it, but if I could, I'd move the cabin. That's not possible, so I put in the river rock landing. It was a labor of love because I think that location is close to heaven. All the best, heidi

The house is super cute! The little river area is lovely and the balcony was very sweet. When we got there we wished we had booked it for more time!

Wonderful secluded cabin, we brought a coleman stove and made a few delicious meals.

Guests are welcome to use a camp stove outside on the porch or landing by the river. Probably the best cooking method we've seen guests use is building a fire in the fire pit and cooking with cast iron pots and pans they brought (we don't supply because few know how to care for them). Granted, this is a slow process but watching one guest cook while lovingly tending the fire, bacon, potatoes, etc. while his dog watched from an Adirondack chair was just a kick and it did smell great!
