Paul's Blue River respite is a balm to the soul. The rolling hills, walking paths among the trees and fields, and the VERY comfortable bed all contributed to a very restful weekend. All is clean, neat and the room is huge and has comfotable chairs to rest unless you enjoy gorgeous views on 2 separate porches in complete quiet with nature. Paul is a host that one remembers with great fondness. The ability, if chosen, to learn about Zen was patiently demonstrated and lived by Paul. Paul's culinary skills are amazing- luscious vegetarian dishes that do not seem to be vegetarian, they are so good. Great coffee and heavenly desserts. We were very grateful to find this Airbnb gem!!

Paul is a gracious and thoughtful host. My husband and I were looking for peace and quiet and were curious to learn more about Zen meditation. We loved the large airy room (perfect for reading, napping, listening to birds) and were absolutely delighted with everything Paul cooked for us. (That pie!) And we both enjoyed our introduction to seated meditation in the Zendo. Looking forward to returning again in the future.

This is a gem. The food. The birds. The area is amazingly scenic. But honestly it is Paul that really makes this a place that I will return to. He is full of wisdom. Its easy to see how he helps so many. To push them to be their best. "Is that so?" "We shall see."

Paul was gracious, kind, and very attentive to our every need. My husband and I feel as though we found a true gem of the Driftless area and our experiences there we will take with us for the rest of our lives.

My 3 days at Five Points Zendo were magical. All I was looking for was a peaceful and quiet place to get away from it all. The room was comfortable and clean. Paul cooks awesome Japanese food. Peaceful and quiet place it is. For the first time in my life I heard the sound of the leaves falling. Little did I know that the price would also include the unforgettable experience that would profoundly affect me. I spent hours talking to Paul. He is the real gem of this place. Thank you, Paul!

My stay at Five Points Zendo was wonderful. I felt both pampered and inspired. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and Paul welcomed me into his home with wonderful vegetarian meals (which were delicious!) and thought provoking conversation. We sat Zazen 2 mornings in a row and it was an enlightening experience that I will be continuing. Whether you're looking for a quiet, beautiful place to get away or an inspiring time retreat, you will be able to find both at Five Points.
