Very private bungalow with full kitchen, full size W/D, A/C,off street parking, and private patio. Near Morley Field and walking distance to all restaurants and clubs in one of the best neighborhoods in beautiful Uptown San Diego. (Note: while we do offer TV monitors and HDMI cables for your use, in order to continue to keep room rates affordable we do NOT offer Cable/Antenna TV, but we DO offer ultra high-speed internet via Gigabit Fiber Internet for all your computing and streaming needs)
This space is very private and is uniquely designed to make the most of the neighborhood. Close to Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo and Hillcrest.
Guests will have full and private access to this two bedroom fully furnished and detached apartment home including a full kitchen/living room and large fenced outdoor space. Included are two side-by-side parking spaces with sliding gate for privacy and security.
We respect our guest's privacy. Living in the front of the property means we're only a shout away (text, call, etc.) if you have any questions, etc. We are very familiar with North Park, South Park, and the general uptown area and can offer recommendations on dining, nightlife and leisure activities (please see our on-line Airbnb guidebook for great spots nearby). We want you to have a great stay in San Diego and come back to stay with us in the future.
Please be aware that we no longer offer cable TV. This allows us to keep our costs, and your nightly rate, down. We have provided a Blue-Ray / DVD player for your convenience. You're more than welcome to bring your own streaming devices which should work quite well with our advanced WiFi and gigabit fiber internet.
We do have two extra folding chairs available for our guests stored in the bedroom closet. When added to the other two chairs with the kitchen table you'll have indoor meal seating for 4.
We've provided a standard sized Weber grill for our guests use. Included is a charcoal starter "chimney" (If you aren't sure how to use that just ask), BBQ utensils, and charcoal. We ask that before you check out you empty any ashes into the garbage and place into the trash bin.
Please be respectful of our neighbors by trying to keep noise down after 10pm. We think you'll appreciate, for an urban area with so much going on, how quiet and peaceful our corner of North Park becomes in the evening and early morning hours.
Please feel free to smoke in the outdoor areas but we ask that you don't smoke inside the house. There is an ashtray in the drawer next to the TV in the living room.
Wood surfaces: We've furnished our home with what we think are some cool tables, dressers, and cabinets. If you have drinks to place down we've provided old books, etc. that you can use as coasters. No water rings are a good thing for wood furniture.
Rear gate: Feel free to close the gate after you've parked your vehicles OR leave the gate open for convenience. A gate between the parking area and the outdoor space will ensure your privacy.
CHECK OUT PROCEDURES: when checking out in order to keep our cleaning charges low we ask that you please 1) strip the beds, 2) place all used bath towels in the wash machine, 3) ensure any dirty dishes have been placed in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher if needed (dishwasher tabs are beneath the sink), and 4) place any trash and recycling in the appropriate bins (black = trash blue=recycling). Thank you for helping us keep the cleaning fees we charge our guests as low as possible.
KEYS: Place any spare keys on the counter near the TV and if you’ve used the self check-in procedure to check-in then PLEASE replace the check-in key into the lock box. If you have any problems placing the key into the lockbox please don’t hesitate to contact via Airbnb, text, or phone.
(A note regarding food items that you may have "leftover" and wish not to travel with: Please dispose of any leftover perishable items. If you have remaining non-perishable items (olive oil, coffee, spices, individual bottled waters, condiments, etc.) and don't want to have them go to waste, feel free to leave them and we'll evaluate whether we will make them available for the benefit of future guests.)
