Twin single beds in a spacious upstairs room with views to the mountains, a third bed can be added. Bathroom facilities are right next door and host shared, this has never been a problem as we are downstairs making breakfast when you need them most.
Mountain view suits friends traveling together, and those who prefer their own bed. Light and spacious with beautiful tongue and groove rimu ceilings and wood panel wardrobes, a dormer window and expansive views over the town to the mountains.
Two sun rooms, a spacious TV lounge with Sky TV, guests control the remote! A densely planted garden of rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas provide a quiet sheltered outdoor environment. The beautiful kitchen dining area is light and airy, well heated with a heat pump and features native wood panels, rimu and kahikatea. Cooking not permitted in the kitchen as we are a Bed and Breakfast not backpacker and there are good restaurants five minutes walk away.
As retired teachers and active trampers and mountaineer we have lived in most parts of the South Island and enjoy helping our guests with travel tips and ideas for things to see and do. We want to make your stay with us memorably pleasant and to make you feel a bit special.
When you arrive we offer you a complimentary cuppa with fresh cooked apple cake. This is a good opportunity to get to know you a little, tell you about our town and area and provide you with essential information like door keypad numbers, wifi login, any special needs for breakfast, cooked/continental, gluten free, lactose intolerant, diabetic etc.
We expect guests to behave as they would expect us to behave in their home.
Smoking is permitted only outside on the back verandah. Pets are not allowed.
