A cosy, comfortable apartment in a really great, central location – right in the very heart of Seville's old historic city centre.
The apartment is housed in a former theatre from the 16th century (one of the 'corral de comedias' that were a feature of 16th century Spanish architecture). The building still retains the original theatrical structure, making it one of the only examples of early theatre architecture still in existence in Europe.
The building is right in the centre of Seville - in the La Encarnación neighbourhood - just metres from Seville's iconic Metropol Parasol, in an area full of quaint and picturesque streets, and surrounded by the best tapas bars in Sevilla (in case you don't know, tapas are a wide variety of appetizers -or snacks- in Spanish cuisine, and a pretext for how Andalucians socialise).
The apartment itself is located on the ground floor of this beautiful traditional building and opens onto a stunning, typical Sevillian courtyard with oranges trees. Because it's enclosed within the courtyard, it's quiet and peaceful with no noise or disturbance at all – a rarity in the centre of such a bustling, lively and energetic city.
Though traditional in style, the apartment is very practical and comfortable with all the modern conveniences you would expect (like WiFi, TV, DVD, hairdryer, washing machine, fridge...). It has two separate sleeping areas: a sofa bed downstairs and a mezzanine bed upstairs with a very comfy mattress. There is a good size bathroom that has been recently renovated and a small kitchen area that contains everything you could possibly need to cook, as well as a coffee maker, teapot and even an orange squeezer to enjoy of our famous Sevillian oranges for breakfast! Just down the street, there is a vast farmers market filled with fresh fruit, vegetable and meats. Everything you might need (bed linen, towels...) is provided.
The surrounding area is beautiful as well. Another of the attractions nearby -1 min walk! - that makes this apartment so special is Metropol Parasol: a wooden building located at La Encarnación square, in the old quarter of Seville. This houses a museum, a farmers market, an elevated plaza, and a restaurant, most of which are open-air. Best of all, it has a spectacular elevated rooftop promenade (located on top of the parasols) that gives amazing views of the city.
There are many other nearby attractions like the Giralda, the Catedral, the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Reales Alcazares, the Judería (Jewish quarter) and some of the most socially and architecturally interesting neighbourhoods, streets and squares. These include: the streets of Sierpes, Tetuan, Feria, and Betis; the Guadalquivir river; the Avda. de la Constitución; squares such as Museo, San Pedro, La Alfalfa, San Lorenzo, La Alameda de Hércules, Plaza Nueva… the apartment is so central that almost everything and everywhere in Sevilla is no more than a 15 minute walk away.
We hope you will feel like at home!
