In a beautiful 18th century building, charming studio with contemporary bathroom, small kitchen and huge bed.
I can't recommend Pierre's apartment enough. It's exactly as shown in photos and located in such an amazing area. It's walkable to tons of great stores and restaurants, as well as the Seine and all the tourist attractions along it. Pierre is also a great host and was so helpful checking us in (and out). You really can't beat the location and quality of the apartment for the price.
This is a very special place. Looking out on a private garden, but as described in the "heart of Le Marais," it feels secluded when at home. A gem of an apartment in an old stone apartment building with a beautiful courtyard. The apartment itself is charming with large windows, totally modern bathroom, great wifi, etc. Pierre is the consummate host, and he takes such obvious pride in welcoming his guests. I've stayed in a lot of airbnb apartments. I've loved almost all of them. This place is the very best, and the epitome of what airbnb hopes to be. I look forward to returning soon and as often as I can.
Great location in a very lively and fun neighborhood. Fun bars, restaurants, and shops within yards of the apartment building. Well maintained studio with a newer, modern shower and vanity. The apartment is small but sufficient for our needs, in a wonderful old building with a cobblestone courtyard entry. There are several short flights of stairs to reach the apartment. Pierre made several good recommendations, and he was was a gracious and charming host who seemed genuinely concerned about making our stay in Paris a happy one.
Our entire experience with both Pierre and his apartment was WONDERFUL. My husband and I can't say enough good things. It was our first trip to Europe as a whole, so we were a bit nervous and out of our comfort zone, but Pierre immediately felt like a friend. His communication was quick, and he was especially helpful and accommodating when I realized I made a booking mistake just a few weeks out from our trip. When we arrived he promptly met us outside and brought us in, helping carry bags up the stairs and telling us the history of the building. He gave us (phenomenal) recommendations of where to go in the area that we gladly took him up on. When the steamer we brought immediately broke, Pierre even lent us his personal iron and ironing board 10 minutes after we asked. The apartment itself was clean, gorgeous, and surprisingly quiet. Both the bed and shower felt luxurious and we had everything we needed for a three night stay. The location was perfect — lots of shops and cafes within very short walking distance (and only an 8 minute walk to the Musée Picasso!) and a hip night life. We've been home almost two weeks and still find ourselves pining for one more night in Pierre's place. Thanks so much again Pierre, Max and I can't wait to be back!
Pierre, was such a great host. He was friendly, easy to communicate with, flexible with our arrival and departure times, and had some great recommendations for places to eat and to visit. His place is in a fabulous location, quiet, and very clean. It is located close to the train station and many restaurants and shops. Wifi was also fast and reliable for those of you concerned with that piece of things. We can't wait until we are back in Paris and can stay with Pierre again.
