This was the absolute best airbnb I have stayed at, and I have stayed at airbnb's in Boston, New York, Seattle, Santa Barbara and Big Bear CA, Munich and Vienna. Others had many of these qualities, but none had all: 1) Great private residential location within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the place where I had a workshop (I wouldn't have even needed the rental car at all after arriving) 2) Super responsive host, Ed, who gave excellent directions on how to get there (since it isn't on most GPS maps) 3) Quiet and privacy, nice deck, porch set and umbrella, great for hanging out morning and evening to watch birds and fireflies and peaches ripening in the garden. 4) Immaculately clean and shining roomy space in the studio, many skylights, super comfortable bed and bedding, hard wood floors, thick fluffy towels, separate bath with a huge adjustable shower head, and high quality soaps and shampoos. 5) Awesome welcome baskets of various fruit, cookies, chocolates, snacks, wine, coffee, tea, cereal, and a fully stocked refrigerator of milk, (thanks for the half and half!) yogurt, sodas and other drinks, microwave, toaster, Kerig coffee maker, electric teapot for heating water, sink, dishes, soap, everything one needs for the kitchen. (Just no stove or oven). 6) Wifi that works, TV with hulu, a comfortable desk chair and table for work, absolute quiet, nice natural lighting with skylights in the daytime, excellent lighting and ease of finding switches for night, and air-conditioning and ceiling fan, which was important as the temperature got up to 95 F. when I was there.
6) Totally reasonable cost. MUCH nicer, more comfortable and more personal at less than half the price an equivalent room in a hotel would cost. Highly recommended for one or two people either for work or pleasure! Thanks for a great stay Ed!
