We (My wife, and my 2 little boys) just came back from 8 days at Serena's house. Fantastic week in St Lucia. The house is well located (south of Castries), with a fabulous view. We met Tony (the house keeper) who is extremely helpful and nice. He came several times to check the pool and make sure we were ok. We hired a Suzuki SW4, which is necessary to drive around the island, as the roads on the west coast are damaged with a lot of potholes. The road to access the house is also much damaged, but it doesn't really matter. We went to (by preference) Sugar Beach (the best one), Anse Cochon (access is $10/pers), Pigeon Island, La Toc Beach, Vigie Beach. We also visited to Marigot Bay and Soufriere. Perfect holiday in a perfect location. Thanks Serena
This place was fabulous! Even better than the pictures suggested. It was spacious with a luxurious feel and has splendid views across Castries bay. The kitchen was well equipped and it was a joy to hang out in the pool or on the balcony. We have had to drop one star as we had a drainage issue. It was sorted very promptly by Tony the property manager, but it wouldn't be a truthful review without pointing it out. If it wasn't for this it would have been a clear 5 star review. If you are renting a car in St Lucia then a 4x4 is a must as there are so many hills and unmaintained roads (including the road up to this apartment). We booked a car with the firm suggested by Serena and they were great. Particularly as they met us at the airport and drove us to the apartment. It made a potentially stressful arrival an absolute dream. All in all, if you book this place, I can't think how you will be disappointed.
A gorgeous, spacious villa with stunning views across greenery and to the sea. We spent a week at Serena's beautiful villa just south of Castries and couldn't fault anything; it was well equipped - for cooking including BBQs, relaxing, sleeping, swimming and the list goes on. Well worth hiring a jeep to reach the property and to explore the island - we would have been lost without one. Stacks to do nearby too - local beach (take your own provisions though), 10 minute drive to Castries, plenty of eateries and a local store plus larger supermarket are within 10-15 minute drive. Tony, the house manager is lovely - very thorough and helpful, and easy to contact (not that we needed to, bar pick up/ handover of keys). Top 3 things about the villa - super spacious - could easily accommodate 6 people (we were only 2 - lucky us!), good sized swimming pool and outside area with loads of space to relax... and we both loved hanging out in the hammock in the evening with rum punch (not provided!) Thank you Serena and Tony - we'd both certainly recommend the villa and we hope to be back... Helen & Damian
We spent a great week at Serena's house. The house was just as described and the pool was awesome. Tony, the caretaker, was very responsive and super helpful. We were traveling with our kids- a 6 year old and a 4 year old and the house was well suited for hanging out and relaxing. One note- the upstairs bedroom is a little secluded which is great if you want the privacy but a challenge with young kids that might wake up in the middle of the night. Luckily the couch was comfy and we were able to manage. We did quite a bit of exploring around the island. Pigeon Island is a must as is Sugar Beach. The grocery store in Rodney Bay feels like an American store which has its positives and negatives. Serena was very prompt in her communication which was great as one of our kids got ill and we had to visit the hospital. Speaking of which, Tapion Hospital was a great experience. The doctors were nice and the place was really clean and despite having to be there was very pleasant and easy. As other reviewers have said, you will need a car for this location and the neighborhood is for the most part quiet except for the dogs barking at night which is part of the reality of staying in a neighborhood. Overall we were very happy with our experience and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a more authentic experience than a resort.
The house is Fantastic. 3 large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. A well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. However most of our time was spent on the outdoor decks or at the pool, we practically never went inside except to sleep, and even then the hammock was the perfect space to take a nap. The views are as picture perfect as in Serena's ad. The house would be a little difficult to find on your first visit, but Tony meet us and guided us to the house. People had mentioned to us that security is an issue in St Lucia, however at the house we felt at ease and secure during the whole trip. A perfect get away from the Canadian winter. Thank you Serena and Tony
