The studio is part of our house but with separate access, so I see my guests if we meet on our way in or out. They are always welcome to ask if they need any help. I have lived in the area for quite some years. I know most of the interesting places around including the landing beaches, the military cemeteries etc.
There are many restaurants in Bayeux and many interesting shops. I can point you in the direction of restaurants specializing in seafood, pizzerias etc.
Breakfast, yogurts, milk, bread, organic eggs, various jams, fruit juice, water, coffee etc will be bought on the day of guests' arrival and left in the refrigerator This allows our guests to be completely independent and to take breakfast when it suits them.
A simple evening meal can be provided with adequate notice. A seafood platter can be ordered 48 hours in advance.
We do have two cats, and although they are absolutely forbidden to enter the studio for hygiene reasons, they will sneak in if I leave a door open just a crack. Please feel free to evict them, it won't deter them and they'll try again Im afraid - that's the nature of cats!
No smoking in the flat please, no candles and no frying as there is not enough ventilation. There are two electric rings and a microwave.
Hello and welcome! My husband I have spent the last few years between France, southern Germany and the UK. I have all my six grandchildren here and my husband has his in Dubai, Berlin, and the U.K. We often have friends here and we enjoy showing them around and making them feel welcome. The studio is well equipped in every way including hot water bottles!! My husband is an ex glider pilot, and is now an avid cyclist, each year he cycles in Mallorca with friends and in the desert in Dubai, at the age of 84!!
I am kept busy with the grandchildren and our two cats. When I have time I enjoy cooking, especially curries. We try to travel as much as we can, and this year plan another trip to Dubai and maybe to Istanbul. The seafood here is exceptional, most restaurants serve an excellent plateau de fruits de mer. Come and find out for yourselves!
