Rachel – Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay and we’re glad you had a chance to experience some of the great things about Casa Reserva! Given that Casa Reserva is nestled on 15 acres located next to a nature reserve, it provides a unique experience of being surrounded by the rainforest. The trails we have on the property are continually being worked on, however, can prove more challenging during the Green Season. The Welcome Guide I provided prior to your arrival suggested wearing hiking boots for better traction. It also explained that in the rainforest, you can expect to see various types of beetles, butterflies, moths, ants, millipedes, grasshoppers, cicadas, stick bugs, gnats, and mosquitoes. Although we’ve taken preventative measures to help keep bugs out of our living areas, if doors are left open or if food/cosmetics are left out in a jungle environment, it will attract bugs. I wish we had known you had a concern while you were there, as the team was checking in with you and Bill and I were also in Dominical that week – That way, we could have addressed any issue and assessed what the cause was.
