Your other comments came as no surprise to us considering the deplorable behavior and attitude shown towards our service. This is only part of the preliminary communications between the parties, available on the AIRBNB system, which include your threats as to publishing negative reviews.
As you have verified, our rental deposit of USD400 (which invariably includes a receipt) is fully refundable. And it is also the case with most passengers. Obviously, the deposit is meant to cover repairs of possible damages caused to the property during the stay. Details on the deposit and reimbursement policy applicable to our property are clearly described in the AIRBNB page. As it is worldwide with hotel rooms and rental apartments, replacement prices for items damaged are intentionally high with the purpose of ensuring the due responsibility expected from tenants.
Our surveillance system includes cameras ONLY in the building’s shared public areas like entrance and hallways, but never inside suites, where the passengers’ privacy is priority. Elevator floor selection with assigned keys is nothing but a bonus security aspect, for it guarantees privacy and exclusivity to all apartment holders. The number of rooms available for use corresponds to the number of occupants. This decision was meant to avoid abuse by tenants who declare two passengers and end up with additional people in the apartment and don’t pay the corresponding surcharge indicated in our ad.
Mention must be made of our strong disapproval of the sarcastic, and non-credible, remarks made in relation to the people of this country. The correspondence recorded in AIRBNB shows comments such as “friendly people who tend to forget prepayments received”. We deeply regret any inconveniences you may have encountered during your stay in Dominican Republic. Hopefully you will be more fortunate in your next visit to this country.
