What can I say. Rosalia was an amazing host. She accommodated my every need. The apartment was excellent. The views are amazing, the A/C is throughout the entire apartment and place was clean and comfortable. Please don't take the last review into any consideration because I had the exact opposite experience and I'm very picky. The furniture was nice and laid out well and I will be definitely spending more time there as I come to DR on business quite often. I want to personally thank Rosalia and her husband for taking good care of me and I really felt like home.

This penthouse is amazing. You have two large balconies, one facing the ocean and the other one facing the city. The living room is beautiful and has a very nice decor. Perfect for 6 people but Rosalia will accommodate you if there is less of you, no problem. Location is next to all the casinos so if you're a gambler you'll love it (there is one right next door and we enjoyed sports betting there). Only 5min drive from the historic district and 10 min from Piantini (upscale neighborhood full of high end bars/restaurants). Fast internet and great cable package. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Rosalia was an excellent host, very responsive and accommodating. She ensured that I had everything I needed to feel at home over my three-week stay for work in Santo Domingo -- well functioning wifi, well equipped kitchen, laundry set up and iron. The view is incredible and the apartment very spacious. The location, right on the Malecon near UASD and Gazcue, makes it very safe and also easy to go for runs or walk along the ocean. Very inexpensive to catch an Uber from the apartment to the Zona Colonial and other lovely spots around town for dinner and evenings out. Book with Rosalia for your next work trip, you won't regret it!

Rosalia is a great host of an amazing apartment. It is deceptively spacious, clean and has all the amenities you need. Wif,i, AC, large kitchen and bBalconies were all important for me and this apartment exceeded. There is a master bath, 1 pubic (right next door to the second bedroom) and a "maid showerroon/batrhroo ) just off the large kitchen. We had a minor wifi issue which was rectified immediately. This apartment is a must stay in the DR!

Rosalia and her Husband are really nice people, they are really concerned on the security and well being of their guests. They will make sure everything is taken care before your arrival so to make the experience as unique and pleasant as possible

Firstly I must admit the view from the apartment is spectacular. The overall condition of the apartment is clean and 90% of the items are operable. Reluctantly there are a few things that were upsetting, but only pertaining to my dealings with the owners themselves. There two time frames for "check in or out" 1:00 PM or 4:00 (URL HIDDEN) don't make any early arrival or DEPARTURE plans. The mandatory $400 deposit is cash only... Get a receipt. If you think you're renting the entire apartment as advertised.... YOU'RE NOT! There is an inventory list of items in the apartment and a ridiculous cost of replacement for each. Your being video taped by the owners. Let me elaborate, after exchanging the keys for the deposit then a short tour we were left to settle in. Thus discovering two of the three bedrooms were locked and we did not have the keys. Calling this to be attention of the owners; Their reply was that I had only stated two people were arriving at the apartment thus their policy is only one bedroom would be available....(2 people = 1 bedroom not entire apartment) and hung up the phone. Later I received a message stating if there had been two men then two rooms would be available. Total BS! The cleaning charge isn't prorated for only 1 bedroom...LOL Good thing I found a pair of ear plugs for my fiancé or I would have been on the sofa some nights (by the way is hard and of a course canvas type material) because of my snoring one of us sometimes use an alternate bedroom. I also anticipated using one of the bedrooms as a quiet room to complete some overdue reports as well. Next, the replacement cost for items in the apartment is extremely ridiculous. Examples are a fork, spoon, or knife is $7.00 US each (of course it's a miss matched set of random pieces) against your deposit. Basic glassware (The kind you'd find four pieces for $ 5.00 at any discount store) is 10.00 each. The list is extensive but you get the idea. Also the entire complex is gated, building entryway requires a key.... Even floor selection in the elevator requires a different key per floor..... Two deadbolts on the apartments front door and back door..... So security is immaculate...... The entire complex has only two cameras at the parking level entry for video surveillance.....yet the doorway to the apartment has a camera covering it!!! Hmmmm can you say "owner surveillance"? To sum it up; The view is fantastic! The apartment is nice, furnishings are simplistic and the owners misrepresented renting the entire apartment in the Airbnb advertisement. Would I rent the apartment (URL HIDDEN) Had I known these things prior, I would NOT have rented originally.

Your other comments came as no surprise to us considering the deplorable behavior and attitude shown towards our service. This is only part of the preliminary communications between the parties, available on the AIRBNB system, which include your threats as to publishing negative reviews. As you have verified, our rental deposit of USD400 (which invariably includes a receipt) is fully refundable. And it is also the case with most passengers. Obviously, the deposit is meant to cover repairs of possible damages caused to the property during the stay. Details on the deposit and reimbursement policy applicable to our property are clearly described in the AIRBNB page. As it is worldwide with hotel rooms and rental apartments, replacement prices for items damaged are intentionally high with the purpose of ensuring the due responsibility expected from tenants. Our surveillance system includes cameras ONLY in the building’s shared public areas like entrance and hallways, but never inside suites, where the passengers’ privacy is priority. Elevator floor selection with assigned keys is nothing but a bonus security aspect, for it guarantees privacy and exclusivity to all apartment holders. The number of rooms available for use corresponds to the number of occupants. This decision was meant to avoid abuse by tenants who declare two passengers and end up with additional people in the apartment and don’t pay the corresponding surcharge indicated in our ad. Mention must be made of our strong disapproval of the sarcastic, and non-credible, remarks made in relation to the people of this country. The correspondence recorded in AIRBNB shows comments such as “friendly people who tend to forget prepayments received”. We deeply regret any inconveniences you may have encountered during your stay in Dominican Republic. Hopefully you will be more fortunate in your next visit to this country.
