Lovely one bedroom flat in the centre of Linlithgow, can sleep 4. Close to shops and the railway station. Centre of Edinburgh 20 Mins by train. Edinburgh airport by tram and train in under an hour.
Very handy for the Edinburgh Festival in August.
Ideal for Christmas Markets and New Year.

Here is our recently refurbished roomy one bedroom flat. Freshly painted and with new carpets throughout just waiting for our visitors to enjoy. There is a large double bed and the spacious lounge has a comfy sofa bed which sleeps a further 2. The shower room has a large shower enclosure and modern suite.


Lounge has a TV, DVD player and music docking station. Fibre optic broad band available, remind me to give you the password.
There is a selection of books, CD's, DVD's and games (Scrabble, playing cards etc) available for your enjoyment during your stay.
The price includes toilet rolls, fresh towels and bedding for all guests.


I will be available should you have any questions during your stay, please do not hesitate to call or text. I live locally, just a couple of miles from the flat.


We provide a complimentary welcome basket with a few essentials including tea, coffee and milk. Kitchen is kitted out with the basics, salt and pepper and a selection of herbs, spices and sauces.
House is fitted with smoke alarms (hard wired) and a fire extinguisher and first aid kit are available for your comfort and safety.

This flat in the heart of Linlithgow is absolutely splendid. Clean, well-equipped, as described, cheerful decor, excellent host, clear insteuctions. exactly as described. Would recommend to anyone for an excellent stay!

Jean's place is spacious, clean, and perfectly located! Jean herself was available for questions prior to our arrival, and she keeps the flat stocked with a lot of essentials. The flat is a quick walk to the train station and a quick train ride to Edinburgh or Glasgow. It's located across the street from a shopping center, and it's right on the High Street so you can walk everywhere. Some of flat's luxuries include free WiFi, a washer and dryer, and a parking space. Jean's place was an excellent 'home away from home' while we visited family in Linlithgow and explored some of sights in nearby towns. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone traveling to the area!

You are absolutely near everything including train station and bus stops. Bus is a hundred feet away and the train station is a five minute walk, literally. We did NOT rent a car that's how easy it is at this location to get other transportation or to go out to bars/pubs. A great grocery store (Tesco) is a hundred feet away but hidden behind a wall so not an eye sore. You exit this flat and cross the street and walk down a narrow path for a minute and you have access to acres of beautiful park like setting for the kids at Linlithgow Palace. I can't say enough how convenient this location is and perfect for myself and wife plus two five year old boys. **Plus the unit has a small washer & dryer in the kitchen which is HUGE since there's no laundry matt in Linlithgow.

We stayed during the time of the Edinburgh Festival and were so happy to come 'home' to charming Linlithgow and Jean's wonderful flat. It's clean, bright, and comfy! Jean had anticipated our every need and, just as important, made us feel welcome to stay in touch should anything come up during our stay. Note: the flat is near a corner with a fair bit of commuter traffic, but it settles down nicely by evening time. Grocery store, choice of eateries, shopping, all within easy walking.

Where do I even begin?! Let's just say that Jean and her beautiful flat proved exactly why she's an Airbnb Superhost. Just, wow. I have never had such a stellar Airbnb experience. To start, the flat. It is accurately portrayed in the photos, if not a little bigger than it appears. There was one separate bedroom with an incredibly comfortable bed. The lounge has what is technically a pull out sofa, but it is not typical and is far more comfortable than what one normally thinks of in terms of pull outs. The lounge/living room also has its own door, which is fantastic if you want a separate sleeping space. The kitchen was well stocked with cereals, coffees, teas, milk, butter. There is a range and oven, washer, dryer, and microwave in there. Plus all of the utensils and dishware you could need. Also, big plus being from the US and too cheap to buy tons of data from our wireless carrier, the wifi here was steady and very fast. It was very helpful in planning our out of town outings. The host, Jean. She was fabulous. She answered all of my questions happily and eagerly from day one. She was prompt in responding, even with our six hour time difference. She helped me prepare and plan for a smooth transition from the Netherlands to Scotland. She offered suggestions for food, exercise, sites to see, even train questions. On arriving, I found she had tons of Scotland information available as well as detailed instructions about everything in the apartment in case it was unfamiliar. I truly could not have asked for a better hostess. I'm gonna miss our wee chats over Airbnb haha The location, Linlithgow. WOW. I am obsessed with this town. The flat is fewer than five minutes walk to Linlithgow Palace, the train station, the grocer. There is a trail surrounding the loch that provides exceptional views and peace and quiet. It's about a 25 minute train ride from the airport in Edinburgh and about a 40-50 minute train ride to Glasgow. And it's its own little slice of heaven. We met so many wonderful people there that we almost decided to forego touring Edinburgh in favor of staying in town to chat. Honestly, if Jean would let me rent from her indefinitely, I would just move here. The flat is incredible. The town is beautiful and rich with history. The people are wonderful. I just can't praise Jean, Linlithgow, and this flat enough. It was absolutely fantastic. If you weren't looking to stay outside of Edinburgh, I promise this place will make it worth your while and then some.

What an absolutely fabulous time!! My husband, teenage daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Jean's home in Linlithgow. From the moment we requested a booking to the time we left the keys in the mailbox we had a truly stress free experience. Communication with Jean was prompt, friendly, and courteous. She anticpated our needs and met us at her home with a big smile and welcome. She even provided a bottle of bubbly since my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location in Linlithgow was perfect. It was less than a five minute walk to the train station and there was no need to rent a car. We arrived via train after an 11 night stay in London (another wonderful AirBnB experience) and used her home as a base for sightseeing (including the Open in Troon). The home was meticulously maintained and well stocked with ammenities. The washer and dryer were particularly appreciated. We would not hestitate to stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it. Jean was a marvelous host. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Location location location - and the warmest hospitality. You need to go to Linlithgow and stay at Jean's place! We travel exclusively by train. This flat is a 5 minute, easy walk from the station. It is steps from a wonderful Tesco market, Indian & Italian restuarants - which makes life so very easy. The flat is impeccably put together, clean, bright and comfortable. Jean has thought of everything. It is a delightful home away from home. Jean is a walking enthusiast and a great resource for lovely places to explore. If you are thinking this is just a close stop to Edinburgh, consider staying here longer just to enjoy all the delights of Linlithgow: walks around the lake, walks & boat rides on the canal, walks on the John Muir Way, touring St. Michael's Parish & The Palace, eating local fish 'n chips, shopping at Oyster Oyster fish shop, the butcher next door and The Wee Veg shop. Linlithgow is friendly, clean and abounding with history. This is a perfect spot for a getaway or a longer stay. We'll be back (if we can get a booking!).
