Perfect location, great price, accommodating hosts, comfortable and quality en-suite room in a secure Heritage home that's walking distance to public transport, shops, parks, cafes and close to everything else you'll want and need!
Perfect for people looking for a central and safe location to get the most out of the city at a great price!
The beds are comfortable and proper box-spring mattresses, together for a couple or separately for two solo travellers. The room is spacious enough for lounging in the chair to read local travel info or check your email on excellent wifi - we have the latest fibre installed so the wifi is tops! There's also plenty of space for luggage so you never feel like you're in a cramped hotel room.
Your private bathroom has a Victorian claw-footed bath as well as a shower and it is en-suite to your room.
Fresh towels and linens are all set, hair dryer and iron in room, on-site laundry service available and if you have a special request just let me know in advance.
You're more than welcome to use the downstairs lounge, dining room, and kitchen; but as a matter of full disclosure, our kitchen (as depicted) is getting its finishing touches and is almost complete, hence the great price (win/win for those looking to spend more time exploring the city and local eateries which we can guide you through!) Just to be safe, we've equipped the room with a mini-fridge and hot water kettle with courtesy coffee & tea just in case you want some "you time" while you wake up :)
With any authentic Victorian home, you can expect high-ceilings and original fittings but character also comes with a bit of quirk so be gentle and handle with care.
Also, we are solar powered now so you'll never be subject to a power out or rolling black-out (we do get them here). Plus your stay will be that much more Eco-Friendly!
As we are field workers - during the time you're here, we are not always sure of our work schedules far in advance so you may see us both or just one (Jackson comes to site, too) and some nights you might have the house to yourself. Our cleaning lady comes twice weekly so she can also assist during your stay.
FOR AIRBNB'ERS WITH KIDS:
This listing, although totally rad for most travellers, is not a good fit for people with small children. Your best bet is to do a Filtered Search and tick the "Family/Kid Friendly" box under Amenities.
Guests will have private access to their room and bathroom. We will give you keys and security buzzers upon arrival. Guests are more than welcome to use the lounge, dining room, and kitchen with Smeg Gas Stove, other nice appliances, and all of the cookware you could dream of - I'm Southern so I take cooking real seriously folks, if you're here long enough you'll probably eat your fill, too :)
Entirely flexible! We're really easy-going so if you would like extra help to make the most of Cape Town we're more than happy to assist, or we're happy to just help with your basic check-in/out and be hands-off. My aim is to make your accommodation and travel as hassle-free and enjoyable as possible :)
We have two lovely dogs - one is an Alsatian mix and the other is a Boerebull, but he lives mostly at the farm. Both are well trained and looked after but they are very much "people dogs" and will want to come say hello to you. Their loves in life are food, people, and adventure - much like their owners.
Please no smoking inside the home, we have a lovely garden with seating that you may use. Please be mindful about the locking-up and alarm systems, we take security pretty seriously and for your benefit, too! We also ask that you don't bring back anyone not with your booking back to the home, so no randoms please.
