Its a 4400 square foot custom home from 1973 nestled between the Olympic mountain range and the sea port town of Port Angeles. There are 6 bedrooms, 4 used for airbnb, and 3 bathrooms, all shared among residents and guests. We have a large outdoor hot tub, swimming pool, sauna, decks, views, spacious kitchen and dining, several living areas all open to guest use. The space is shared with dogs ranging in size from 12 to 130 pounds. The dogs aren't allowed in guest rooms, and we do have dog free common space, but still, an appreciation for canines is necessary. There are no cats in the house.
We provide serve yourself breakfast of fresh eggs from our chickens, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice, bread, cereal and fixings for pancakes.
In spring and summer there is a surplus of organic garden produce and herbs you can enjoy. You can use our dishes, pots and pans, spices, refrigerator, to store/prepare as many meals in the kitchen as you like.
In winter we have a fire in the wood stove in the living room starting around 3 or 4 every day.
The rooms are private with locking doors, wireless internet, independent thermostats, dressers, closets and fresh clean sheets and towels. All other spaces, including the bathrooms, are shared.
24 hour access to pool, hot tub, sauna, wifi, living, kitchen spaces, decks, etc. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the spaces at all hours, with respect at night for those who may be sleeping. (Please be quiet between 10 pm and 8 am).
Smoking is permitted in outside areas. We have Shetland sheep, Nigerian dwarf dairy goats, senior rescue horses, 2 fuzzy llamas, 4 barn cats and a flock of chickens. The animals can be viewed from the main yard and most rooms in the house. We can give you a tour of the barn, and a chance to feed some of them by hand if time permits. It is not unusual to see coyotes, deer, eagles, snow geese and heron from the house. In the spring, there is a symphony of birds during the day, and frogs at night!
There's a latch on the front gate we ask that you open and close again after driving in and out. You need to exit your car, open the gate, drive through, then close it again. If you see loose dachshunds inside the gate, please wait. We don't want them getting out. It's very important to give us an accurate arrival time so we can be here to greet you when you and familiarize you with the house, grounds and animals. If you are bringing a pet, please let us know in advance. We ask that you bring no more than 2 children. Children who are very excitable, or have trouble minding, may not be a good fit for this farm, as their enthusiasm can be disturbing to the dogs, which can cause excessive barking, which disturbs everyone. Polite children who love animals are in heaven here, from babies to teens.
Check in time begins at 3. Please do not arrive early. If you need an exception to this, please ask in advance.
Light use of alcohol, cannabis or tobacco is fine; smoking on outside deck spaces only.
Please do not invite friends or family members not listed on your reservation to visit you at the house without asking permission in advance.
Please drive slowly down the lane on your way to and from the property. This is very important to the neighbors who sometimes have children or animals playing there.
Please use only foods placed in the cupboard or shelves marked "community".
You can use community areas in the house any time of day or night. Please keep noise and voices quiet between 10 pm and 8 am.
Please do not enter the pasture with the goats unless you are accompanied by myself or a farm helper.

Myself or a helper will be present to greet you and give you a tour of the house and grounds. I am on site 90% of the time, but its a big site... If you don't see me, text any questions or concerns. I love to visit with guests if there is time, but also, privacy is respected.
In May 2014 I came from the city to be near the mountains and sea, to raise and rescue animals, grow food, enjoy life and share it with as many people as possible, friends and family. My favorite airbnb guests visit the livestock, snuggle with the dogs, use the hot tub, sauna and pool, tell me of their homes, work and adventures, use our kitchen to cook their meals, and leave happy. I travel a lot to Germany to visit my 4 year old grandson, and that is where the idea of sharing space on airbnb came to me. I look forward to meeting you!
