A modern and cozy apartment in peacefull surroundings in the spectacular mountains of western Norway - perfect base for hikes. 5 minutes drive to Låtefoss and the 'Valley of Waterfalls", 15 min. to Odda, 30 min. drive to the hike to Trolltunga.
Altough there is only a 3 min. walk to a small supermarked and the busstop, our home is situated very peaceful and quiet. Our garden ends in woods and fields; you can start your hike at our doorstep. In one hour hiking you are high up, with lakes and rivers, and a beautiful view.
The transfer to the start of the hike to "Trolltunga" is difficult; please check the bus-timetables before you book. I`ll be pleased to help you with that :), but we can not drive you there !
We offer you an appartment - kitchen/livingroom with a sleeping-couch for 2, and a bathroom. You`ll have your own entrance, spacious hall, access to your "own corner" of the garden with furniture and BBQ.
The kitchen is complete with cooker and dishwasher; there is a TV (offering some channels for most European countries) and DVD-player (you may borrow films if you like ;) ).
We offer to wash and dry your cloths for a fee.
One of us is generally at home, and we enjoy meeting people, so you are welcome to get in touch.
We can not drive you to/pick you up at the startingpoint of the hike to "Trolltunga" - we`re a B&B, not a taxi-service. Sorry !
Norwegian wooden houses are not really "soundproof". The apartment lies under our livingroom, so during the day and evening you will hear a little of us - especially steps, both ours and the dogs. Our bedrooms are in another part of the house, so neither you or us have to "tiptoe" at night ;).
No smoking indoors, and we expect you to leave our place as clean as you find it.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.

I`m "originally" German, living in Norway for over 30 years. Married to a Norwegian, Frank Rune, we have two grown up kids. We enjoy traveling, meeting people, our garden, our pets (three dachshounds and a cat), our motorbikes, books, films, friends, and, and, and.....
Arts and crafts are my hobby - knitting, patchwork, and spinning (on a spinning wheel) - sheep, beware.
Our first two years as hosts on Airnbn were a lot of fun, we met great guests that we enjoyed hosting. We are looking forward to this season !
And: NO, the beautiful white dog on my picture isn`t ours; he belongs to friends ;) !
