Great sharing apartment like bed&breakfast service with fully equiped kitchen, wireless high speed internet, silent fan, cable TV, music equipment. Located right in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, Gloria is the closest neighborhood from Downtown, Lapa and Santa Teresa. Super easy transport in/out and just a few blocks away from nightlife hot spot of Lapa.
The apartment can host 2 people very confortably. It has a sofa bed with cotton futon and a delicious brazilian cotton hammock. The whole apartment was recently modernized to create an amazing and very cosy place with a chalet feeling and a very welcoming and peaceful environment. The kitchen is fully equiped and is 100% integrated to the dining and living rooms.
Every detail was carefully thought to make every one feel theirselves at home.
The bathroom was also modernized and has a hot shower.
Guests will have access to the common areas in the apartment, ie kitchen, living room, plants terrace, bathroom and dinning room.
I love to receive guests from all over the world because I believe this is a great way to meet nice people and interact with them. I love to give nice pics and advices about the city. Also love to take my guests out to restaurants, bars and to see the "Carioca" night scene (Whatever the guest's preferences would be).
Please be very, very welcome to Rio de Janeiro and to my apartment. I hope that your stay will be very satisfying and relaxing. My place was carefully design and remodeled for that purpose: Create a unique and wonderfull experience while being at Rio. ☺
Rio is an outstanding city which has one of the most beautiful landscapes, with a mix of wonderful beaches, amazing rainforests, waterfalls and some of the biggest granite rocks ever found in the world ie. Pão de Açúcar, Morro dois Irmãos, Pedra da Gávea. It also has a rich culture which is expressed not only in theaters, bars, music and dancing places, with some of the best musicians, artists, dancers, etc. but mainly in the streets, in the daily living and habits of the “Cariocas”. Rio is the city of the thousand secrets, thousand opportunities to meet.
There is no better way to understand this city than swiming in it´s beaches, while watching cariocas enjoy a sunny day, walking through the “calçadão” in Ipanema, eat a refreshing açai in the afternoon, hike through the tropical rainforest and get into a refreshing natural waterfall. Drink a wonderfull expresso café with a dark chocolate in Santa Teresa to let way for the early night, or enjoy a drink of caipirinha a one of the thousand night places at Lapa. From early morning till late night, Rio has everything to make your stay wonderful.
I'm originally from Mexico, but been living in Rio de Janeiro since 2009. I like traveling into the wilderness or into small and traditional places. I love sports, jazz music and cooking with friends. Mexican food is the speciality. Work with environmental education and green building programs in Brazil.
