Restore your connection to nature at this light-drenched Cape Ann retreat. Open 1st floor invites entertaining. Airy bedrooms w/ gleaming pine floors. Woodstove. Piano. Huge new outdoor mahogany deck with white cedar outdoor shower and new Weber gas grill. The grounds, amazing: private rolling lawn, granite outcroppings, walk to quarries and Plum Cove Beach.
A spacious, light-filled home, the 'Quarry Master's' house is fully restored to relaxed elegance. An open plan on the first floor allows for great family entertaining. Bedrooms and queen-sized beds on 2nd and 3rd floors invite relaxation, with an extra twin-sized bed and additional aero-bed for children or extra guests (no charge). The sound of the buoy bell and a small stream across the way are often the only sounds on Quarry Street which ends in the woods - no through traffic. The front door leads to walking and running paths, the piers, beaches, and a peninsula of conservation land: 5-square miles of historic 'Dogtown' woods and quarries.
The grounds? Almost an acre of rolling meadow, stone outcroppings and landscaped gardens is a paradise to sit and relax, host a cook out off our spacious mahogany deck, or engage a game of frisbee, whiffle ball, or volleyball.
The entire three-floor home is available to guests with the exception of one locked storage room and one other room on the top floor. The third floor does contain one large bedroom with a fourth queen-sized and twin bed, however.

I love traveling and meeting people from all over the world but Gloucester Massachusetts, America's oldest seaport, is where my family and I call home. Sharing this special seacoast community with visitors from across the globe is one of the greatest pleasures of being an Airbnb host. Cape Ann is truly a treasure.
