When you choose to stay at Casa Burani you are stepping into the past with blends of nostalgia and authentic Italian ambience. Come enjoy the Casa on the hill as it was meant to be; in an atmosphere of harmony. Thanks to your visit, little by little our Casa will turn into its original ancient spirit.
The house is furnished with several antique pieces of furniture donated by family and friends. Wood furniture, neon lights and items from the 1950’s live together to send the idea of a joyful and homey room.
The blooming garden enjoys different plants and flowers so you can relish the ever changing blossoms of the season. The kitchen garden and fruit trees lend to handmade jams and preserves.
The objects in the rooms tell many stories but consumerism and our modern, restless lives are casting away the wisdom of time.

What has been built in the past should be respected and maintained.
The purpose of Casa Burani is to stop everything and just think for a while.
The purpose of Casa Burani is and should be to awaken to thoughts and feelings.

"Pulp Fiction" Room: 2 Connected double rooms
You can access this bedroom from an antechamber where the old brick floor has been rediscovered. Here you can find the entrance to the recently remodeled bath. There is a dresser from the 1950’s on which everything necessary for having a cup of tea or a relaxing infusion; is available.
A wooden stairway brings you to the two connected bedrooms furnished in a vintage way.
At the moment the floor is covered by ceramic tiles from the 1970’s but I am going to remove it as soon as possible to hopefully reveal the old brick.
The room offers you an endless East/West view on both the valleys. I suggest these rooms for a family or two couples that are friends.
“Some likes it hot” Room: Double room
A short corridor will bring you to this room and to the newly remodeled bathroom. The old brick floor in the bedroom has been discovered once again.
The north/east room is furnished with a baroque bed and objects from the 1950’s.
atmosphere is joyfull and domestic by all the different pieces. Especially the pink hair dryer helmet that still works!
The view of the garden from this room is very relaxing.
“Fallingwater” Room: Double room
The two windows grant you a nice view on the western country side and the right side of the garden. The light filtered through the 1970’s yellow curtains matches playfully together with the “serious” black metal bed. The bed is decorated with nacre inserts which use to be very common in old farm houses in the Emilia region. The bed is covered with a American country quilt that lends to the ambience of an overseas feeling. An old dressing table that was in my Grandmothers bedroom and a drawing board from the 1950’s with some prints of Frank Lloyd Wright; furnish the room that will soon be equipped with its own bathroom.
Gli oggetti e gli spazi sono portatori di una storia. Oggi il consumismo e la vita frenetica ci stanno distruggendo. Quello che è stato costruito fin ora deve essere rispettato.
